Anyone else got into the Alpha for Evolve??.

Played a few hours on it and I have to say this game is going to be great when its done. There still some glitches and load times are VERY long. But once you get into to meat of the game its a blast with friends..Communication is key, if you go into the game without a headset you will not enjoy it at all. The only negative thing I can say is the UI/HUD can be busy and hard to change weapons, but after alittle bit I was doing things second nature.

In the Alpha I have played about 4 different maps and at the begining of the game it chooses for you if your the monster or on the team. Dont know if this will stay that way....So check your emails to make sure you dont have a code sitting in there. If your a "update tester" then you will have a message from MS

I got in and played a few rounds yesterday and was pleasantly surprised I have thought it really cool since I saw a GameInformer article on it playing as the monster is much harder than I thought it would be.

Honestly a freind told me about the game a few months ago and realy never gave it a second look. Now it looks like might be on the top of my "buy" pile

Personally I'm not sold. At the very least not at $60. It's a fun game but unless there is some sort of single player mode I can't take another Destiny type game where its online only and one or two game modes.

Yeah come to think about it your right...if there isnt any Single player its not worth the $60...But time will tell

I won't be buying it unless they balance out player movements. 90% of my experience was running around trying to catch a monster that's faster than anyone else. Jet packs help but not for very long. But when you're actually within range of a monster, it's a blast. Unless that monster is the Kraken. In that case, just give up.

Well, it looks cool. Very much in the spirit of Left 4 Dead, but I like Evolve's setting a lot better. I do agree, though, 60 bucks for a pure multiplayer shooter is a bit much. At least unless it's got a decent bunch of content, but a total of 12 characters and three monsters seems a little... lacking.
