Any pedal with a potentiometer will give the same problems irrespective of brand. All you can do is clean it or upgrade to hall sensor and load cell pedals.

I would say check your gas pedal for any defects. Maybe it needs a good cleaning. What kind of wheel?

Yep that was it thanks. Stripped down the pedals and gave the contacts a good clean. It was a bit fiddly but it's worked a treat. Cheers
