Hi everybody,

I sort of started organizing a Ferrari Fuji online meeting last night for next Saturday night. The list of people here, where active on this threat at that moment (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111929), some of you already committed for participation and some of you don’t. if you want to participate let me know by sending me a PM.
This is open for everybody. The more people participate the less punters we have and that’s why I started this. I noticed that there weren’t any GTP-ers in this event and a lot of punters/cheaters. By reading this threat I notice that more GTP-ers where complaining about it. Without being to Harvard, everybody will know that were on this event on different times. And it isn’t the most popular event since the No Mercy event. Also GT5P is a bit of dying off, now there are a lot of releases coming out at the moment. But there are a lot of Die Hard fans how still wants some good races, now and then.

Start at 9:00p.m GMT till 00:00p.m GTM.

Off course you can come earlier and quite before the end because it’s just for fun. But the highlight will be in this time frame.

Rules are very simple:
We gonna do this for a FUN, CLEAN and FAIR night of racing. Means you will enjoying yourself and be a gentleman on the track. No punting and cheating.

Any idea’s, let me know and post them on the this threat.

I hope this will succeed. Because I haven’t had a good night off racing for a long time.

OK Dennis - me and Fair_play would like to join you at saturday. I think there will be some more of us aswell. Probably a F40 one car choise for the T&L crew, if thats ok.

-edit: Im off to bed as well though... have to work tomorrow again... but I'll be happy to join you all tomorrow evening... then I can go all night [/

I've had a few great races against none GTP'ers tonight. For example I came second in one of them by two thousands of a second.

Dang I missed all the action tonight had to work late, but I'll catch the Saturday event for sure. Had a couple of races tonight saw GTP_GetShEit in the rear view lol:sly:

We are up to 12 people for Saturday night. I don’t know how many people are allowed on the track in this event, could be 12 or 16. In both cases, I think it’s too much to go all at the same time. We might split up in too two groups.

IMO there are two ways to split up:

1. Alphabetical order but you might turn up with too big of a gap between the drivers.

2. Qualifying lap. This one we do on honestly (if you lie about your time, you’ll end up in the back of the field. And that’s not what you want. Remember the rules about this event!) Take the average time of 3 laps and send to me by PM, in case I miss out on it on the threat.

Any other ideas are welcome!

I think getting split into groups by a qualifier would be most fair, but dont knwo if theres enough time, is it tomorrow or next saturday?.... and then you get even match ups.... then if people want to you can mix the teams up later on in the evening after a few races... maybe an idea...

I dont thing you should do anything. To get a 12 GTP driver grid you actually need more to hit the button at the same time. If there is 20 drivers let all push at the same time. If we get lucky we'll get a clean GTP grid. For those whos unlucky - "try again later mates". They probably will have all the GTP drivers who didnt conect in the first try in the 2nd grid.

it's tomorrow.

i think there is time enough for your qualifying. everybody raced here already and did practice laps. the qualifying doesn’t have to be on 100th or 1000th of a sec. If you do for example a 1:44:3 – 1:44:7 and a 1:44:5 your average of that is good enough. You might even haven’t got to do your qualifying because you know what you’re capable of. We are not battling out a Massa-Hamilton championship here.
Splitting up after a few race isn’t a good idea, I think. If you cut up in traffic or punted off and end up in the back of the field. You will turn up in the wrong group.
Don’t take the word qualifying to heavy. It’s more a guideline to decide in which group you belong.

ok let's try that.

if it don't turn out the way we want. will still can anticipate at the moment

Cool! keeping it simple is always better anyway :) I'm down for anything as long as we all race! 👍

Yes - less is more - isnt that what they're saing?
Btw conserning the question about laptimes for the F40 its between 46 low and 47 high. I need to learn the track some more to push it more and the tune is still a Suz tune. I'll work on it tonight. It should be posible with a 45/ 46 average with thw F40, or what do you think?

I was doing 1.48s yesterday on clean laps with no mistakes... but thats just because of my skill level, I bet others can go quicker... and I'm still learning the limits of the cars... but I like it! very cool car to drive...

Yes - the F40 is actually a really nice ride for the Fuji track. My times is from 5th to 9th position. You can probably add one second if in 1st to 3rd position.

Yes it is!

I did first time some laps with it, cause I'm gonna take it next time when I will drive online... and it really is great! I'm very surprised how stable it acts.

I just copied PB's M3 wheel and suspension setups for this Ferrari too, and own gear-ratios... and this works. What a great setups PB has done. Fits for every car. :dopey:

i just gave the F40 a try with blitz tune for about 4 laps manage to do a 49 and 48 twice. With the cali I do 44.5 quite constantly.

whoa, is the difference that big? Cali has a lot more downforce though and is a car of this age... :) F40 is classic  1992, I was playing NES I think still and logging onto Bulletin Boards at 2400 baud ... HAhahAhAHAH

yeah man, will mean i will see alot of F40's in my rear mirror

the F430 is about similar to the cali if it comes to the lap times. If you don’t want to drive the cali.

Try Prudent Bears setup:

Power -10 (my own)
Weight xx%
Tyres R1/R1

RH: -22 / -20
SR: 3 / 3
Damp: 5 / 5
Toe: -0.05 / +0.08
Camb: 1.4 / 1.0
BB: 4 / 5
TA: 40 (I use 42)

I find the F430 to be about 1-1.5 seconds slower than the California, when it comes to a race i prefer the F430 as i find it easier to drive also you can see a lot more around you, have you seen the rear view in a California?

What about the weight??? In my recollection the F40 was really light... not 1300+ KGs.... ???

-edit: Nevermind, just saw it in the links... 1152 KGs or something.... why did PD make it 1300+ KGs??

car + driver + 2 girls in the back?

two girls in the back??? where?? in the engine compartment.. how about one sitting next me, maybe admiring the shift knob... ;)
