F 10 Championship (weather + tuning)

It was just training.No race.

@Highspeedring:
The track seems not so challenging, but when the tyres wear down, it gets very interesting!

@next week's track (Normanby Park)
Have the track ready to download.

I will be online tonight and PM you guys.

If we must do homemade races, then I think we all should be able to submit one.

For the record I love high speed ring reverse and forwards!

@Changes:
This season is set.
But for next season I'm open for suggestions.

@Tomorrows race /Highspeed Ring:

There is a "wet line"!
Fascinating.....

@download of track:
checked.ok.

@training:
I will be hosting a lobby from 20:00 to 22:00 UTC.
And if RL comes in my way like last time (sorry again :ouch: ) I will post in here!

Hi Kuanza!

Welcome! 👍

@ Training Lobby yesterday:

learned something about balancing 💡 the car

and: the race tonight wil be a big slipstream battle!

Really looking forward to that!

See you tonight!

Sign me up Cas. I will try to be a reserve driver. I can drive tonight. :)

I don't have much experience of tuning F10, will there be a practice beforehand?

PSN is LordChopsington.

Will host a training lobby (race?) on thursday.

Lobby will be open from 20:00 to 22:00 UTC

Hope to see some of you guys!

Still dont say what that is in GMT. Never mind. In future could you post the times in GMT (and CET and North American times too)?

Im assuming its 8pm-10pm GMT.

Training showed, that the Normanby Park track is very demanding!

Best laptimes where low 1.04's.

And if it should rain.....really looking forward to the race!

We will have a look at the result of the race.

There where some issues:

Peir seemed to have no traction in the race.
Some had rain tires in the first try, but also no grip.
In rain the automatic fuelling is not working.

The positive points:

Weather worked.Wet up to 100%, then dried out.
Skilled and fair driving throughout.
Tactics where needed to stay in race.

Personal Note:

That was the most intense workout (physically and mentally) I did with GT5.
Brilliant.

I can't say I'm particularly thrilled having a restart (duh, I was first by a lot), and having the reason be poor tire selection.

I don't think I had the wet weather speed to remain P1. Or it was just too many crashes/spins that did it in for me after the restart. Getting lapped 3 times tells me I wasn't fast enough, and they made few mistakes.

I totally forgot how to drive that place dry by the time it got to that point. Took a few laps just to remember what gear certain corners were.

I didn't have problems with my auto fuel filler amounts. Then again I didn't cross the line and the tank was mighty low.

I burnt thru my rears pretty bad so I stopped basically as the rain was stopping. I picked up another Full wets, and used those until I felt I could run slicks. And my tank was near empty.

i loved the race yesterday .
i had nice grip after restart, but the mistakes made me forget the track lol , it was hard in the rain but i really enjoyed it :)
i think my fastest lap at 100% was 1'20"***

congrats to shak who did really good job by having a constant pace and not having many crashes.

good race all!
