F1 2010: Driving Force GT, Fanatec Turbo S , G27 Comparison

This test is only for f1 2010 on the PS3, (i have posted this on the F1 codemasters forum also)

Right......Im really hacked off as I appear to have wasted a heap of money over the last two years when all i needed to do was buy a Logitech Driving Force GT.lol

Monday and Tuesday night.......about 40 laps a night at Spa with logitech G27 and manged to set a personal best time of 1:41.9.

Wednesday and Thursday night , again 40 odd laps a Spa but this time with my Fanatec Turbo S and Clubsport Pedals......get it down to about 1:41.69 ish

Whole of this afternoon, another 40 odd laps with the Turbo S and I improve by 3 hundredths, with a hell of a lot of effort, it was a real struggle.

Tonight, hooked up my Logitech Driving Force GT, 2nd lap of the evening, hmmmmmm, this feels good, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I can feel everything the car is doing, i like this wheel......hmmmmmm, errrrrrrr i appear to be in front of my PB ghost.......eeeek Im miles ahead..........stay calm, much calmness, dont bottle it.......

1:41.232 (nearly 3 tenths quicker and it was only my 2nd lap)

I have been toiling for days to better my time and have been thoroughly testing the two more exspensive wheels and all the time its the Driving Force GT that seems to be the fastest.

It just goes to show, cash is not always king, I dont know what it is about the Driving force GT but it just feels so right. It seems alot more precise than the two other wheels and the car seems alot easier to drive.

Edit: I have since managed a 1.40.998

NOTE: ALL TEST WERE DONE WITH ENVIROMENTAL EFFECTS TURNED OFF.....With effects on the Fanatec rules supreme in that department, so realistic, feels like a reel car but i feel having these effects on slows me down...so for tt`s i always turn off.
