This is what ultimately turned me off of sports mode. I eventually just got sick of waiting around longer for the next race than the actual races were...Okay, I'm getting real sick of waiting 10 minutes between races. Until recently, races were a bit longer so I'd leave the lobby at about 5 minutes before another race starts. Finished A and want to do B or C? Whoops, you left the lobby at 7:12, guess you gotta wait until half past. Finished B in a 7:30 timeslot and wanna do C? Well, the timer says 18 minutes, ain't that the darndest thing? 10/10/20+ minutes was perfectly fine and we were doing 5-lap gt3spalol race B's no problem. Just who benefits from this? Qualifying guys? I can qualify without entering a race! Does anyone here suffer from burnout and really need that extra 3 minutes to recuperate from getting brake-checked into the hairpin?
Nah, I tried that, it was still at 478BHP. There's permanent engine degredation after you drive 10000km and I lost about 0.1 horsepower, so I sold the Audi (rip) and got a new one.
Its such a no-brainer and would solve a lot of the issue with BOP imbalances yet PD continue to criminally underutilize it. It would also create a lot more variety on an already extremely stale sports mode. There are so many great possible options in every category!I like the specific car thing on C again. PD has done this multiple times in recent memory (TT at Spa, GrC cars only at LeMans, Gr2 concept cars only at Sardegna, and now GT500 cars only at Fuji). It's almost like they've recognized their grouping system (specifically Gr1 and Gr2) is stupid.
- Gr.1 eras (Group C / LMP1 / pre/post 2000 / VGT)
- Gr.2 (Super GT / GT1)
- Gr.3 (FR / MR / JGTC / specific year range like older GT3s - 2010-2013)
- Gr.4 Drivetrain specific (FF / 4WD / FR / MR)
