I Renown I
Same deal as 2010: post your vids here and let us all criticize and/or praise your driving skillz. If you're new to the game, you'll be excused, but do expect to be called a n00b. Because we love you. :P

I'm on the PC and will upload videos of the game as it was meant to be seen. :D

F150 Italia/Monza - NOTE: I do know Monza like the back of my hand, however, it would appear as if I'm purposely missing shift points and missing apexes and I assure I am not. Fraps, what I used to record this video (and all the ones to follow) is setup to record the video raw and as such when I'm playing the frames dip below 30 constantly and, well, I'm sure you can put the rest together. I will say that towards the end when I go off I was being disturbed by my aunt coming at me with a cassette player, and from thereon out, things became progressively worse. Playing while recording practically resulted in a slideshow and I quickly hung it up; I actually switched to cockpit as I thought it'd be better. Yeah...no.

I'll likely edit some of the settings so I can get better frames whilst recording. Enjoy, discuss, and possibly call me an ass for having the PC version.

Pretty great video, actually. Yes, I'm bored and refresh the forums like every 5 minutes...night shift, you know the drill. And yes, public but unlisted is best for such videos - private will cause them to be locked away from us. And you wouldn't want that...do you? :odd:

Ass. Sorry. :(

Man, the PC version is visually about twice what the PS3 one is, but I still love it.

Cockpit view? :sly:

You need to use some of that DRS and KERS :). I have just been on the new Indian GP circuit, a decent layout I feel.

Can't use either until I've gotten my new wheel. :guilty:

what settings do you use for fraps? Also do you hit the 4GB limit quickly?

60fps capture, full-size, forced lossless RGB. What 4GB limit?

How come? Not enough buttons or can't assign?

The entire front panel of the DFGT doesn't work. Through no fault of my own.

my fraps only records 4gb then it starts a new movie

Oh, that! Yeah, I approach that limit real easily. The video above? Seven (7) different videos, six being 3.98GB a pop with the last being 2.37GB.

I'm yet to see a video of a race where the player doesn't ram into the AI under brakes. It ruins the sense of realism for me, as in real life it would result in a trip to the pits for a new wing or a DNF.

The game has only just come out, so most people are probably still getting used to the handling. It is, after all, a game with a very steep learning curve.

Qualify on pole and you won't have that issue :sly:

One problem I did see is that on xbox I damaged my wing on a spin out and they didn't replace it in the pits and wanted me to go back in. I will have to check and see if you have to tell them to replace it or not before entering.

Also, in career mode there is no option for safety car even with full sim, all rules on and 20% race length. Can someone verify it is in career and not just online co-op please?

It's only available in races of more than 20% length.

Dude, you are so gay. Did you literally just do the exact same race with the exact same chassis as me...the video I'm uploading right now?

Guess I'll for the replay audio then.

Certainly seems that way.

I hope this upload doesn't take all friggin' day, like the F150 video that took, what, two, three hours?

Eh, it was worth showing again. Especially since everyone seems to think online will be dominated by level-headed sanity.

You're an ass for getting the PC version.:sly:

If I had a choice i'd always get the PC version, even if it came with a million bugs as an add-on, the huge improvement in graphics would be worth it. They have to tone them down so, so much for the PS3.
