F1 Powerboat realistic Sim! Please vote!

Hello guys:

Does anybody know of a good water motorsport game for PC? I would love to find a game with realistic physics on water. I remember back in the day of the Nintendo 64 that Waverace had awesome water physics and it was just a console game.

Is there anything like that on simulation level for PC? Let's say the Live for Speed or rFactor, or Simbin like game for water motorsports?

Well, Rigs Of Rods has a pretty darn good water physics model. But it isn't dedicated to water motorsports. Good luck and cheers!

Or maybe it isn't very popular... just have to check everywhere for a water sports simulator. I have never heard of somebody who asked where they can find such type of simulator.

Yeah, I've been looking around but all I can find are jet ski, wave runner or even power boat racing games that are totally arcade...

ROR (Rigs Of Rods) is open for mods, so you could probably make your own boats and ask somebody for help, then you could call that you own Boat Racing Game?? I guess... just trying to help you out, sir.

I am a huge fan of water effects. Especially water that responds in 3d and I dont mean like 3d glasses.

I have only seen these games that have true 3d reacting water effects.

1. Kameo (best water effects I have seen)
2. Halo 3
3. Mx Vs ATV Untamed
4. Fear
5. GTA4
6. GOW2 (only parts of the game)
7. Saints Row 2
8. Dark Sector
9. Fallout 3
10. Dirt 2
11. Mx vs ATV reflex
12. Halo Reach beta
13. Off Road Drive (not out yet)
14. Crysis 2

Really? I thought the full version of Halo Reach had 3D water effects? It wouldn't make since if they left it out, especially since it's in the Beta. I don't think it ruined any aspects of the game? Really have to check that one out.

However related to the general topic I still think there is alot of potential for an America's Cup simulator. I even think a clever developer could use FFB features to give the player insights into the boat, sail and wind performance.

Oddly the best water physics I have played is Sports resort on the wii.
Canoeing.
Get two people on board rowing at the same time is hilarious.

"Waverunner" and "Jetski" are just names used by Yamaha and Kawasaki for their "personal watercraft". Pretty much the same thing.
