I'd like to see a F2007 vs FGT vs Veyron vs Escudo drag race at the Test Course. Now THAT would be awesome.

Around a track though, the F2007 trumps all.

I agree with most here.. the F2007 is superior.. yea the PD F1 car is good, but I find the f2007 to have better handling and (AT LEAST TO ME) is way faster....

Having the Escudo in there would be a waste of time on the Test Track...damn thing can't keep up w/ the F2007, and tops out at 200mph (that's when it starts bouncing off the damn rev limiter ).

I played some ad hoc races today.

In the mode "course aléatoire" in french, ("random race" in english ?), if you choose 999 points in the beginning, the 2 players drive a Polyphony Digital.
When a player have 50 points of handicap (after some wins), the player drive... a Ferrari F2007 !

So the game consider Polyphony Digital Formula is better than Ferrari F2007!

It is supposed to be faster, because I race against them when I drive the F2007 offline. It has about 300hp more, but the F2007 is easier to drive.

well the faster one is the PD F1, i just ran them 1lap around the test course folowing the driving line and the PD F1 was about 2 secconds faster than the f2007, but the f2007 is definatly easier to drive. still the fastest car i have driven is the veyron about 4 secconds faster than the PD F1

I know the Escudo will lose out in top speed to the other 3 cars, that's why I said I only want to see a drag race. In terms of acceleration, I think it can hold its own against the Formula cars and the Veyron.

The limited top speed is a real shame though, it's no longer as dominant as it used to be .

That's because top speed is all you need to be fast on the Test Course. Round a normal track with real corners, the F2007 is wayyy faster than either cars.

The Ecudo was always limited to about 200mph stock. It would take some tweaks th the gear ratios to have made it be able to make it to about 250mph+. And GTPSP doesn't allow the tuning of gear ratios.

In GT2 the Escudo can reach about 220 mph stock IIRC, with gear ratio tuning it can reach about 260 mph. Where do you get the 200 mph from?

I have just got both of these cars and they are both awesome. The Polyphony Digital F1 is slightly faster in a straight line, on test track Polyphony Digital F1 218/219 mph Ferrari 2007 F1 214/215 mph. On Suzuka I can lap at 1'36" with either car but the Ferrari 2007 F1 handles better through corners. And I took the Ferrari 2007 F1 to El Capitan (S class) and the 3 other cars were all Polyphony Digital F1's, the Ferrari battered them : )
