I think that's exactly what Turn10 needed to do. It demonstrates respect to their fans. I wasn't really aware of the VIP stuff (I just got the standard version) and last Forza I played was Motorsport 3 but hopefully those who bought feel better about it now.

A quick decisive offer to tide us over (always lovely having FE cars) .... plus giving us back the bonus we all kinda assumed we'd get
Yes it might cost them some revenue on in-app purchases but it gives them a happier community again which is probably going to help drive sales

I guess for the majority of the players all is fine now?

Well I for sure will remember they tried to pull this micro-transaction stunt off with FM5 and they tried it again with FM7. Both times the community came in uproar and Microsoft gave in and changed things.

I will not be surprised if they will try it again in future games, it’s obvious what their goal is and what they are willing to achieve here.

But as long as there are credit loopholes in their games (selling HE cars for 5 mill/piece in FH3, farming 7500 XP for 0 second races in FM7) I guess it all doesn’t matter much. But someday in the future with another Forza title things might be different.

I wonder if people that buy the game after this will still get the extra bonuses. I hope so, I have my VIP code from the Virtual Key Sweepstakes, but haven't gotten the game yet.
