Depending on what you are ordering? CSW won't be out until next year I reckon, and the Christmas pre-orders for the Elite are already closed. When they open again it's for getting a wheel after Christmas.

If it has not already started, maybe there will be a beta test for the CSW in December. I sure hope it does not get pushed back too far.

Here's a bit more for y'all:

Could you tell me what are the dimensions required of that seat's mounting? Mainly looking after the width, from bolt to bolt (my seat has 410mm from bolt to bolt in width) but also the min. width required by the seat sliders (outside to outside) would be appreciated. 👍

He just can't talk about the functionality of the device. So no questions about the wheel settings, feel of the wheel, build quality... etc.
He can just tell you about what you see. So for example if you'd ask what the yellow button is above the xbox guide button then he can say it's the on/off switch, but he can't talk about what happens after you turn on the wheel.

Thanks LogiForce. I'm wondering how much longer is the shaft compared to one of the Porsche wheels? Did you find you had to change your seat & pedal postion much?

The shaft looks like it should be simalar length due to the fact that the Porsche wheels had the large horn bumper, and the Elites have a thin profile carbon fiber wheelface. I don't own either of them but... That spacer plus the wheel looks similar to the thickness of a Porsche wheel. Of course its not the length of the shaft, its the girlth that matters.

Missed your message earlier. I know there are a couple of wheels out there at the moment for beta testing (not community testing). I think the latter will start in January by the looks of how things are at the moment. Thomas and everyone at Fanatec being busy with pre-orders of the CSR Elite, fixing issues with the CSR, debugging the CSW, beta testing the CSW, marketing for all the new wheels, above all fixing any issues that remain in customer support, making sure there are enough people at customer support for the new CSR and CSR Elite customers and customers with older products etc. So yeah, I won't be expecting the CSW anymore for this year personally. One can always hope though.

Sorry for the delay, it was 01:26 in the UK when you asked the question and I was tucked up in bed.

Yeah the shaft does look longer can't really say how much longer 'cos I'm in bed still having a lie in and the wheel's downstairs.

But no I've not had to change my seating position at all so dimentionally the shaft may be longer however the position of the wheel (due to mounting points hasn't changed)

I have made a vid which illustrates it, but it would break the embargo. It's ready to go ... hiding in my youtube account so that I can click "Public" on it the very minute the embargo lifts.

Im not so sure about doing videos, not everyone will probably catch/understand a "Northern Ireland accent" so well.

That gets raised a lot and a lot of the silly Youtube spammers who will critisise anything like to jump of that little band waggon.

The answer is pronounce it how you like.

I spoke to Thomas about this 3 years ago in preparation for my 911Turbo S review... His answer was.

Fanatec stands for "TEChnology for FANAtics" so to me that should sound like Fan-A-Tec I know the guys at ISR make it sound like F-nadic but it's really just a Tomayto - Tomarto situation.

I've just done a review of the GamePOD and will upload it this afternoon hopefully.

The gamepod looks really nice indeed. Just a bit too expensive for my liking. Which they had something like the Apiga. Foldable with two uprights.

Gamepods arnt expensive at all, its the quality Cobra seats they use that bump up the price.
Still I reckon one of the best seats on any sold cockpit.

Oh I wont speak in Irish besides I dont know the language, many of us are Ulster/Scots -
Try to combine Eddie Irvine with David Coulthard - err on second thoughts thats awful to even imagine

Btw, anyone looking for a rig can check the rSeats, very good quality for a decent price, and there is a new rig coming in a few weeks, the F1 rig and it is going to be amazing. But this is a secret shhhhhh
