What would be a "gt3" rim for you? I mean current gt3 cars have all different wheels/rims; some are pretty small and simple (amg for example) and others are basically a keyboard + display used for steering :D
You are absolutely right. I wasn't precise with my statement, so to be clear I meant an open wheel shaped style.
Something like the McLaren GT3.
That Wheel with a larger diameter and an all metal construction would be a banger.

You don't have to imagine, just wait for it to come back in stock :) In terms of quality and feel in hand, this is one step above the BMW GT2 :)

Dang, I didn't knew it was a metal Construction.
I was assuming it is some sort of cheaper materials used for the body itself.
Just read it's some aluminum combined with carbon Fibre.
O god, how shall convince my better half to... Forget it 😅
I'll find a sneaky solution no doubt about it.
I watched your assembly video quite a few times but wasn't aware it's of such superior quality.
Thanks on that reminder, I will definitely keep an eye on it.
Pozdrav dragi moj I puno to hvala 😉

Yeah, full metal, grip is also amazing, gloves or no gloves, it's just perfect, if you are so delighted with the BMW wheel, wait until you try this one :) Especially with the Podium parts (shifters are astonishing) :)

Nema na čemu druže moj, lepo se vozaj :)

GT3 Endurance rim does look sweet, but be aware of issues w the PBME and DD+ with PS.

I’ve had the GT3 Porsche version since DD Pro days and after I went to DD+ last year I discovered that there are several issues in the base FW - not the PBME.

Square and X buttons send both signals, so press Square it sends Square then X. Same on X. Also the analog joystick Axis are reversed

While its usable in GT7, there are a few circumstances where this is a problem. Online racing, you can’t activate chat functions w Square. Editing text labels for setups etc, can’t use Square. All the setup tips pop up whenever you confirm. Whatever functions mapped to X and Square, press either sends both

If you race flat and use the joystick to pan left right this is reversed

A fix has been on the someday list at Fanatec since after release of the DD+, still pending - tried every FW version base and wheel

Loved the GT3 wheel but it mostly just sits and so personally wouldn’t buy another PBME based wheel until its fixed, as cool as the endurance looks - if you can live w the issues then go for it

EDIT - BTW the Fanatec US store is now showing the CS RS open for pre-orders ship est Feb 18

This is precisely why I haven't pulled the trigger on a second round GT wheel. I specifically want the Podium Porsche 911 GT3R Suede rim, but the PBME being buggy currently is a non starter.

Yep exactly.
Plastic Rims are absolutely fine and do their job.
But man, this Wheel is a completely different sort of beast.
To me personally being an absolute FFB Enthusiast, I will never again use another Rim I think.
I mean sure, I'll still use my McLaren GT3 Rim... But imagine Fanatec offering a full metal GT3 Rim with a 32cm diameter.
I don't know but once you have experienced how good this Rim feels combined with the DD+, it's hard to go back to a lesser quality one.
It almost feels to me like playing a new game.
A more mature and authentic variant of GT7.
Definitely a way more immersive and true to real world feel sensation.
It's so good... I'm blown away as I never would have thought that the used materials could make such a drastic change to the FFB.
This is my first more expensive Wheel and to be honest, at least to me, it's an absolute game changer...and no, I'm not exaggerating things.
This is my honest and objective opinion.

So happy to made the purchase.
It did lift my hobby to a new level of immersion and enjoyment 😁

I have the GT3 Endurance rim, and it's all metal no carbon fiber. But as you said about your BMW rim, it really does make a difference and I'm going to be selling my McLaren wheel shortly. (Anyone want it, DM me lol.)

I am a bit confused about the comments regarding the issues with the button module on GT7. When I first built the wheel and slapped it onto my DD+, it indeed had all those dual-output button issues and the sticks were indeed reversed. But after I updated my wheelbase to whatever the latest firmware/drivers were (and might still be), it seemed to solve those specific issues. I race almost exclusively on PSVR2 nowadays and have no issues using the button module and have only used this wheel for the past two months or so since I got it. That said, I don't race online so I can't speak to things like the chat button or anything else important for online racing. It also seems like the default buttons don't match what the guide in the manual says, so remapping any buttons is at a minimum a trial and error exercise. You may not even be able to remap them right now at all in GT7, I don't recall. But I can easily toggle everything I need on the car, from brake balance to TC to fuel map, plus the DRS/overtake button auto defaults to the top-left button above your lefthand grip, which is where I want it, anyway.

@PirovacBoy I'm going to try your tip of reducing INT a click or two on this wheel to see what you're talking about. I didn't change my DD+ settings when I got this wheel from what I had been using with my McLaren wheel.

Today after more excessive driving, I decided to switch back to INT 3 again.
So back and forth, I prefer 3 to be honest.
So Wheelbase
100% FFB
28% DPR
5% NFR
1% Inertia
3 % INT

55% BRF ( which is absolutely personal and down to the fact I'm running CSL LC Pedals AND I drive without ABS.)

Rest is default

In game
5 Torque
9 Sensitivity

INT 3 just feels way way more natural and absolutely not mechanical.
The noise is reduced to a minimum which is necessary and no more Understeer Rattle AT ALL.
ALL cars feel weighty and provide an unrivaled FFB Experience.

INT does give stronger Road bumps/ curbs effects but also amplifies some unnecessary noise which I don't like as it just doesn't feel natural.
It's excellent yet I personally do prefer INT3 as I have been using it since 2022

Gave those setting a go, seems good to me. Not a HUGE difference necessarily to what I had but feels good so far. I did the weekly challenge races so need to run the GT3 and other fast race cars I mostly spend my time in to see if it makes a big difference to me there.

These settings are mainly Being evaluated by using GT3 Cars as a basic fundamental.
From there on I then started to test Road as well as Sports Cars and to my surprise it did fit those as well.

So if you keep them settings EXACTLY to the numbers I gave you, you should very very soon notice how extremely well and detailed and most of all, how natural and intuitive they feel.
The immediate weightiness as soon as you start to turn the wheel combined with the very linear ramp up in Forces as well as fade out will give you an extremely well planted and grounded feel to your cars.
Combined with the very low noise both in terms of road feel as well as car body roll, your GT3 cars will feel as if on rails.
Spins will become an almost non existing rarity, and the understeer effect as well as the linear feel to oversteer will let you manage them situations with an unrivaled confidence.
Especially non ABS driving will let you feel exactly which tire is about to lock up or already has done.
Pumping the brake Pedal to simulate ABS unlocking and locking the tire to prevent understeer if it should happen will lift the driving experience on a whole new level.
Give it a try if you mind to.
All necessary details are still felt.
It's just the subtle intensity and overall very calm and realistic touch to the Wheel sensations that will let you gain superior car control.
If you like to I would highly appreciate it if you send me a friend request on psn.
So we can drive together and if you wish to we can have a chat and talk about that stuff more in depth.

If not, no problem at all.
From what I have read so far regarding your comments I have the impression that you have a very good understanding of driving cars and driving technique.
Would really love to share track with you.
Cheers 😁👍

I’m on 464 FW, which is the latest so I retested the GT3 wheel. Only tested buttons previously as in VR the analog stick doesn’t do anything

Analog axis is fixed. Button issue still to be resolved w Sq and X sending both. But the joystick and funky switch press only sends X

The button table in the PBME manual show correct PS assignments
