Fanatec GT2 w/ Frex Shift+ Seq Shifter?

Hello,

Noob here!

I just brought a Fanatec GT2 to play Forza 4 & I would like to use a Frex Shift+ along with it. I was wondering if anyone had step by step instructions, or a wiring diagram/pic that show which wires on the ps2 cable that came with my GT2 that need to be soldered to the Frex??

Any help would be much appreciated!

unfortunately, I don't really have anything to add to the conversation myself, but I know that amar212, the sort of pied piper of GTplanet, uses a frex shift+ shifter with his CSR elite wheel, I'm sure he'd at least be able to point you to somebody who can help!

There is a pcb you have to buy to allow the gt2 to properly communicate with the frex shifter. Search for a user hear on gtp named interfaceone.

frex can be wired in directly without any pcb, the bare wire can be wired to the ps/2 plug and directly connected to the wheel.

I will post picture of mine when it arrived. or if not cut your porsche seq shifter cable and connect the ps2 from the shifter to your wheel.

Just to point out the interfaceone pcb only works with the Frex H+ shifter Not the Frex Shift+ Sequential shifter. Did not see any point in writing software for a shifter you can direct wire to Fanatec wheel.

The pcb however works with the following shifters only;

SST Lightning

Frex H+

Thrustmaster TH8RS in H and Seq modes

Hi All,
Got one of these from interfaceone a few months ago but i didn't get my TH8 shifter until last week so i wasn't able to comment on it.
Firstly, id just like to say that Dave is a pleasure to deal with. Communication was unbelievable as he replies to every email super quick. He really cares for the sim racing community.
Secondly, the interface is INCREDIBLE!!!
It's so good to have a shifter that is the same standard as the Fanatec GT2 wheel FOR the GT2 wheel.
I haven't tried the sequential mode yet as ive been having too much fun with the H pattern, but the H pattern works flawlessly.
One thing though, 7th gear does not work because there is no 7th gear on the Fanatec standard shifter so you cannot calibrate the 7th gear on the wheel. This no big deal because pretty much every car that has a 7th gear is a car which i drive with the flappy paddles so i don't even use the shifter (try using H pattern with clutch on an F1 car haha).
Words cannot express how happy i was when i first plugged the interface in and used the TH8 shifter.

Huge thanx to Dave for his hard work and effort to have these things made and sent out to us that ordered them.
