Just changed my G25 to the GT2 CSP and I'm happy with it.:dopey:đź‘Ť

Those CSP can't be matched! Well there is the Perfect Pedal, that's $200 by itself!

GT3/2 CSP is a nice set up :)

No worries and thank you. That did the trick. My fan is now off (ie. auto).

I have a G25, had it for a few years. It's a great wheel but i'm not happy with the FF and the lazyness of its self centering. Further, it just doesn't behave like a real wheel most of hte time. I have had lots of good hours with it though.

Any help is appreciated!

ps: i love SIMS BUT i just can't get in to PC SIMS. Please don't hate me. I have every relevant racing game for PS3: SuperCar Challenge, Ferrari Challenge, Enthusia (ps2), Shift, F12010, GT5. I'd like to hear more feedback from ps3 games and does anyone have a 360? If so, why not the GT2 wheel?

The GT3 RS V2 is identical in performance with the GT2. The only differences there are between the 2 are lit up buttons on the wheel that have symbols, XBox 360 support and of course color.

If you are after a more realistic feel from your wheel then I would recommend either of the 2 wheels. How ever I can not say how the Fanatec wheels will perform with the PS3 sims you mentioned. Except GT5 which I have first hand experience with.

IMO my GT3 performs much much better on the PC. Don't get me wrong, with GT5 on the PS3 I would take my GT3 over my DFGT any day of the week. But unfortunately there is not much FFB adjustment settings in game.

If you also run Forza 3 and primarily console sims then the GT2 is definitely the wheel for you I would think.

It's the only wheel I know of that will give you the best of 3 worlds. PC,PS3 and XBOX 360. Just sucks to wait for it! :indiff:

On a different note

I installed the fan today and it's working great! No loud or unusual noises and it has plenty of clearance under the housing because it's 7mm instead of 10mm. It doesn't seem to push as much air as the stock one did but it's good enough and doesn't make a peep!

While I had the wheel open again I cleaned up the wiring a bit. Which was a bit sloppy from the factory IMO and made sure no wires were near the motor/heatsinks.

I did a lot of testing tonight. And that little clamp on fan I bought is like the little fan that could. Reason being is that with the clamp fan off I noticed that my 2 in wheel fans kicked on after about 15/20 minutes of rallying in rFactor. After about 45 minutes I turned on the clamp fan and the 2 internal fans shut down after about 5 minutes even though I was continuing to use the wheel.

Then I shut things down for a bit to start fresh again. I turned the clamp fan on and started the rFactor rally mod. This time with the clamp fan running the internal fans took about 45 minutes to kick on.

So I would have to say that the clamp fan is making a pretty big difference in keeping things cool. đź‘Ť

Here are a couple pics and a video of my next potential upgrade/project :sly:

Sorry about the blurry close ups. My camera sucks with that for some reason.

The 4.7CFM fan I mentioned might of been better than the stock apparently. Though with the thinner fan you won't get that plastic rubbing.

Will the gt3rs fit on the wheelstand pro?

Hi There,

It won't fit as in plug 'n play. In order to make the GT3 v2 and CSP fit on the WSP I went to a hardware store and bought a piece of L-profile.
Made 2 pieces of in different length ( 34cm and 41.5cm ). And then fixed the CSP with tyraps to the L-profiles and then also with tyraps to the WSP.
For fixing the GT3v2 to the WSP I used the template delivered with the wheel and drillled a few holes accordingly.
Now it's really sturdy and I'm happy with it this way.
Btw, i have a WSP for the G25.

WOOHOO!!
just got my GT3RS V2 the other day! and man! its so great!đź‘Ť
the only bummer in my buying experience was canadian custom sitting on my wheel for a week! and the tax they slapped on me!:grumpy:

Anyways, quick question. If you turn on ABS the Shock vibration turns off? is there a way to keep both?:dunce:

one other thing, When my wheel heated up, another fan turned on but there seems to be some wire coming in contact with the fan blades, there was this rattling sound. I turned it off quickly and it went away when it cooled downed. Do you guys think i should file a complaint with fanatec? it seems a simple matter and i don't want to return the wheel. I guess it would void my warranty if i open it up just to check the wirings... saw the fan mod a few pages back and I dont want to do that too to my new wheel..:scared:

Congrats on the wheel....and bummer on the socializm:(. I have not had any real issues with the heat so far, in fact I just ran a 200 lap race last night with no external fan....yes it got a little warm, but nothing crazy. if you read a couple pages back Fanatec has solved the issue with the wire but now one of the fans sits a little too close to the cover. But if you can deal with it then it shouldnt be an issue....ABS and Shock, I dont think so, I didnt care too much for the shock so I never run it anyways...but the ABS is awesome. Good luck

Hey can you post some pics? I too have a WSP with a G25 that i'm looking to replace with my GT3RS. Really sucks having the wheel sit there and not being able to use it. btw, i don't understand in the instructions where it says to press the BASE and BACK buttons at the same time. Which buttons are those again?

TIA.

Look at my thread, 'g27 or gt3rs v2'

I haven't been able to find and was wondering if some wise person might be able to tell me if the gt3 v2 wheel will work with dfgt pedals? Know they will with g25/g27 assuming it will also with dfgt.

Thanks
