Fanatec Now Offers Free Shipping as Standard​

Following a trial promotional period back in December 2024, Fanatec has now made the move to implement free standard shipping by default for all orders in “mainland” territories...

Was free metal QR2 only a december thing? I bought the basic BMW CSL wheel in december for 139€ with free metal QR2 and promo free shiping. I see the wheel itself is now 10€ more and QR2 is also 99€ extra. Glad i made the purchase in december lol.

Upgrading the dd1 from qr1 to qr2 for 300€ ??
300€ for a quik release.... for 300€ i can buy a used car.

It states exactly the same (QR1) in the text on both US and EU sites though. Post on Fanatec blog only mentions steering wheels all having QR2 and nothing about bases, so I think this is a mistake in the article. @Famine do you know anything about DD Pro getting QR2 as well?

Can anyone comment if they upgraded from the DDPro to the DD+. Is there that much of a difference? $1000 is nothing to sneeze at.

As the article states it doesn’t offer free shipping. They just upped the prices to subsidize the shipping. Great marketing to those who aren’t paying attention.

I did the upgrade from DD Pro to DD+. It is worth it. The difference is really huge. I was going to keep the DD Pro as a spare but after trying it again, it just felt weak and lacked the extra details you get from the DD+ so I ended up selling it.

Upgraded from DD Pro 8 Nm to DD +. Totally worth it*.

* Bought the DD + in December promotion for 800€.

How did you sell it? I would like to keep the DDPro wheel so I would just sell the base. I don’t even know where to start. eBay?
