Hey Guys,

i used the search function, but it didn't come up with anything related to my problem (if i accidently missed something please point me towards it).

I've got the old Fanatec Porsche Wheel Turbo S (PWTS) with the Clubsport Pedals (CSP) and regardless of how i connect it to my PS3, it just doesn't get recognized in GT5 (neither via dongle, nor a USB Cable). In the PS3- and even the GT5 menus itself it's fine, but a soon as i'm in a race, wheel and pedals don't react at all. Also the buttons on it don't light up anymore like they used to. It used to work fine when GT5 first came out. Was there some sort of update that disabled these wheels? I believe i've got firmware version 681 on it.

If anybody knows something, or has experienced anything like this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

As far as i know you're on the latest firmware.

Try hooking your wheel to your pc in the ps3 (g25) mode and use the logitech software to test the wheel

So you can not get it to PS3 mode? Buttons won't light up unless you put it to PS3 mode.

I am no expert on this.. but I have seen people have issues with usb power. What I mean, is their ps3 either isn't putting enough power out of the usb port.. or there are too many items plugged into the usb ports.

If you have a lot of things plugged into your ports, I would suggest removing everything but your wheel and pedals. Maybe even get down to just one of them to see if that is the problem.

If this is not the solution.. Hopefully someone will come with one soon for you.

I have firmware 681 and its running great on gt5 with csp too. so when you press the 2 buttons to get into ps3 mode the buttons don't light up orange.

Seems like my wheel is fine, but i may be broken :ouch:
I totally forgot that you've got to push the connect button too. I only pressed the back button.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone. 👍

I believe that was already done last summer in an ISR vid? ;)

Think I remember that. Was that the one where you could see hand movements but they wasn't allowed to show it?

Could someone explain the procedure for putting this Fanatech wheel In PS3 mode? My m8 at work just got one and says it works fine on the Xbox but cant get it to work on the PS3.
Im the Electrical Engineer at work and he knows Im a GT player so he asked me for advice. I said I search this forum for him and this is the thread I got. Thanks for any help.
