Fanatec PWTS Questions (Canada)

Hey Gang,

I've got a few questions regarding Fanatec and thought I should post here as there is more movement compared to the Fanatec blog forum.

How are people finding the reliability quality of these wheels? I bought mine yesterday and it cost a great deal of money and I was hoping that these last a while and if there are issues Fanatec is able to either fix them under warranty or offer replacements quickly.

Do they offer any sort of tracking for your parcel? I've received an email saying they've "delivered" my wheel (even though I ordered it yesterday) so I just assume they've shipped it however I haven't received any other email. I sent them an email through their customer support form but they haven't got back to me (granted I did it this morning).

How do you find the customer service of Fanatec? In my order I left a paragraph in the order instructions asking them about the ClubSport Edition (didn't know if it was sold out or anything) because I wanted the upgraded pedals. I asked them to get back to me to either allow me to purchase the ClubSport Edition or let me know how much extra the shipping would be if I added the pedals. They simply ignored (as they didn't contact me)these requests and didn't get back to me. My goal was to get multiple things now so shipping wasn't so expensive but now I'll have to pay extra (~$38) to get the pedals (cost of shipping would be almost 1/4 of the actual cost of the pedals). So far my experience hasn't been that great with Fanatec.

Any idea when one can expect to purchase the Rennsport Stand V2 in Canada/US? I want the stand as I don't think getting a seat is feasible but it looks like the current version doesn't offer parts that are standard with the V2 version.

I guess overall I'm just worried about the support I'll get before, during, and after I have the steering wheel. It's one thing to buy something from Best Buy (where you know you can go back and complain) but it's another to buy from a company on the other side of the world.

Anyways, hopefully some of you will have insight and put my mind at ease. Thanks!

The Clubsport edition sold out worldwide many months ago, the thread "Another Fanatec wheel arrives" has all the answers you want. It is long and I wouldn't recommend going from the beginning but I believe the last 10 pages or so is a good place to start. I recall a specific query about postage cost to Canada being discussed.

Its been a year since I recieved my Fanatec stuff and I seem to remember that I only paid for postage once on a multiple item order as you also understand it. I actually made 2 orders in the end so had to pay postage again that was my fault I should have just ordered everything together at one time!!. The second order co-incidentally was for the pedal stop to add to the Wheelstand (which is now included with the 2nd version of the stand (and if you use velcro strips to secure the pedals to the stand is not needed to be honest)) and the shifter adapter.

My year of ownership has been problem free as has a lot of others. This is not the case for all but I only comment on my own situation.
