Fanatec Shifter connection

I just wanted to to say incase anybody has this issue (if not to remind myself)

The manual gear shifter was not changing gears at all

I checked all cables were securely connected, they were, so why no gear changing.

I checked back with GT5 and it was working so no calibration required.

I discovered that Forza only detects the shifter if it is already connected on start up. If you connect the shifter cable with the game already started it doesn't work.
