Please select the preferred shipping method to use on this order.

Weight Based Shipping with VAT
SHIPPING CANADA zone 9 (Weight: 39.65kg) $280.00

:scared:

Is that WITH shipping, or the shipping fare? If that is with the shipping included, not a bad deal.

It looks like that is shipping and VAT. If VAT is being added to these numbers it would explain a lot. My shipping was nowhere near these numbers and I bought my original CSR Elite at the $539 price.

Yes, when I ordered my CSR Elite and G25 pedals adaptator it was

G25 / G27 pedal adaptor cable for FANATEC wheels PWPEDALCG25 1 $5.00 $5.00
Forza Motorsport CSR Elite Wheel USA CSR E USA 1 $540.00 $540.00

Date Added: 13/04/2012
Products: 2Shipping Date:
Total: $573.00

So shipping was 573 - (540 + 5) == 28$

Yes, if it is in US it is alright, but not when shipping to Canada :(
Last year, shipping cost for CSR Elite, 29$, shipping cost dor Clubsport Pedals V2, 29$.
Now shipping Porsche 911 GT3 RS V2 Value Pack XL US for exemple : 280$...

Wow.... I was a pretty loyal customer I have 2 CSR wheels 2 Elite CSR Pedals and Porsche 911 GT3 RS V2 Value Pack. But based on these shipping prices it is time to move on to something different.

Nothing speaks louder than our business.

It sounds like it is a customs / duties / tariffs thing?

One thing that helps with a destination in the same country it is shipping from is to group things. I had an extra load cell shipped with my CSP V2 pedals, so that shipped for free more or less.

As far as I understood K_Soze, adding more items raises the shipping cost even more. So where is the benfit?

When I placed my order, I compared doing one combined order versus two individual orders. The load cell is light anyway, it shipped for nearly free combined with the pedals.

Yes, I want to order a CSL, but shipping cost are too high. I tried to order on simulation1.ca (462$), it was already far more expensive than if I order in europe (CSL + shipping is 299 + 36 euros so something like 440$) and they sent a mail to ask me for an additionnal 30$ because there was an error in my order, so I cancelled my order and keep the money for a PS4...

Ii think I will not order anything from Fanatec until shipping cost become reasonable.

If you are close to the border, you can ship to a town just across the border and go pick it up yourself. There are companies that will accept packages for you. The shipping charges will be much better. I've had a a couple of things shipped to Blaine Washington and drove down to pick them up. I didn't have to pay taxes or duty.

Thank you for the tip but I live in Québec and the closest town is about two and half hours. My Odyssey burn so much gas that it will cost more than USPS X)

Hey K_soze, did you try emailing Fanatec and ask what's up? Shipping should not be that big a change in a year. I bet it is an error.

I had got a conversation via email with them because I was thinking cost including custom fee and I wanted to be sure. But no, the shipping cost is more than twice as expensive as for the closest US city

USA / Maine / Jackman -> SHIPPING USA ZONE 8 (Weight: 17.06kg) $41.65

Canada / Quebec / Quebec ->SHIPPING CANADA zone 9 (Weight: 17.06kg) $126.00

Well that settles it. I will never purchase from Fanatec again. Well over a 50% price increase on shipping from my first order... NO WAY. When I upgrade and no longer use my xbox, I was going to go CSW. Guess I will go Thrustmaster.

I guess it depends where you're trying to get it from.

Even so you guys are lucky, I can't order to Chile nor Brazil !

In both of them I only get "selected country is out of region!".

So if I really want them, it will depends on my brother (lives in Germany) or 3rd party shipping. In BOTH cases I'll need to pay 2x for shipping!

To be fair, USPS did drastically increase their shipping prices to Canada. Probably to match UPS who nails you with exorbitant customs fees.

From $35 to $150 to ship to Canada? That seems a bit of a rip. I doubt that is Usps's fault as I ship tones of items. None costing more than $50.

This is Fanatec.

If the increase include cutoms fee, then the price is "allright" (before the customs fee were not included to th shipping cost), but Fanatec said that it is ONLY shipping cost, then you have to pay for customs fee and then you have to pay for TAV...

I preorder the CSW V2 and shipping is about 60$ so while it is still more expensive than three years ago it is not 126$ anymore.

Wow, Australian prices are brilliant so I'm quite surprised by this thread. I've found the shipping costs for everything I've bought very reasonable, enough so that I had no problem ordering separately as I could afford it and paying separate shipping - the pedals were $14, the 2 rims together were $12 and the base is costing me $14. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Yes I have no problem giving money to Fanatec, but not to USPS. 60$ for shipping (last time it takes two or three weeks) from Los Angeles to Quebec is not correct IMO. I sent my CSR Elite last month and it cost me 20 Canadian dollars to ship it in four days with Canada Post.

FYI, there's no "Duties" Per say. You pay your PST and GST and a (small) handling fee from UPS and that's that. When i ordered my Gear last year, All but the wheel base Slid though without a Single Penny paid. Got Dinged on the base but that's to be expected with a Declared value of 450$.

That could explain why it was about 29$ with USPS and now 61$ with UPS... But when I had asked for this to Fanatec customer services, they said that I will have to pay for duties and VAT. I will soon be fixed about this by the way...

You have to pay for quality

Amazon has 2 day shipping for free and next day for $4 (4, not $40). Yes, I'm a Prime member. Being that I don't pay anything for shipping, does that lessen the quality of items purchased, such as a $3000 TV or when my T500 shipped? No.

Fanatec doesn't have the volume Amazon does, that's why UPS doesn't cut them a significant break to be passed along to the customers. As for USPS, I sent my cousin in France a PS4 (and accessories) last year, it was insured, it was DAMAGED (everything in the box except for the games had some sort of damage), I still have not gotten my $600 check from those (biting my tongue) fine folks.
