Rice is where you apply stickers all over your car and have none of the goods that the stickers represent.
Rice is a totally stock car with a huge wing attached, thinking they are fast.
Rice is the mentality that goes along with the above definitions.
That blue Honda is not rice. Sure the wing is, but the rest of the car is nice and just because the rims are 18's, how is that rice. Please explain your definition of the word rice and Ill have a better understanding of your statement.

Rice is the overmodification of a car - stickers, no stickers, whatever - to make it appear to the eye better when those modifications have little or no actual preformance value.

So, is this rice?

It has 1065hp, but it also has the wheels, wing, and kit.:odd:

Since the wheels, wing, and kit have no actual preformance value, those portions of the car are rice. The engine is not. Remember: Form follows function. When you add a bodykit, wheels, and a wing, (plus Altezza tail-lights, stripes, etc.) then it's a case of function (to make the car go fast) coming in second to form (to make the car look good).

So, is this rice?
No, this isnt rice.
No hysterical stickers all over, functional (adjustable) wing, and power to back up the cars looks. The body kit is not aerodymacilly functional but other than that, the car rocks.

Your so right and hit the nail on the head.
You can have all the body kits, big rims, big brakes, m3 fenders, triple decker wings, but if you dont have the performance to back it up, your a poseur, ricer or whatever you call it.

 (<--- yes, I know that smiley no longer exists). I agree completely.

It's just a heavily modified ricer. I wouldnt mind a Supra but there is no point having that much power in a road registered car. The maximum amount of HP you can use efficiently around town is probably 300HP. He has that much power because he has a small penis and needs the attention .

Why not?

With his boost controller he can drive around town at 320hp, or if needed he could crank her up to 900+hp. He can use it to drive to work every day of the week, and use it to run 9's down the strip on the weekends.:P

I hate the term 'rice' and try not to use it, but some of you are wrong when using the term. I know there is no true definition, but damnit...an aftermarket wing, wheels, and bodykit is not necessarily rice. If so, then every Top Fuel dragster I have ever seen...is rice.

Top fuel dragsters use everything on the car to make it fast, stable and keep the wheels planted on the ground.
The relationship between rice on the street and Top Fuel is nonexistent. ;)
I know there is no true definition,
Yup, your right on that one and everyone has his/her own definitions.

Yeah, Top Fuel dragsters really do use it all, and on a track.

Yup, unlike alot of the rice boy crowd. They would rather just street race, create havoc and just be a nuisance to all including getting the law to change policies that hurt and affect all of us in some way or another.

From the trailers Ive seen of the new movie, its going to be even more fun to see what comes out of the closet with this one.
Reminiscent of the first movie, it will be dejavu' all over again.

I prefer a "sleeper" car, I don't like modifying the body if it has nothing to back it up. What I'd do if I had money, is I'd tune the engine and leave everything outside bone stock, so it looks normal, but it can go.

Oh, btw, Im not that fast but believe in the sleeper mentality. Nothing like minimalist thinking.

I haven't been here in a while, but I beleive Misnblu will remember my ride. I own a 1971 Monte Carlo SS ( see the avatar) It has a 600 hp 454 with a 200 hp nos system, Muncie 4 speed and a 4:11 posi rear end. It ain't small, but it'll haul!

Hey, whats been happening.
Love your car man and glad you still have it. :D
Hey, you should check out this site. Its Need2Speed.com and you would fit right in with your car. Im a member there and am featured vehicle of the month. :mischievous: :D
Anyway, didnt mean to go off topic. :banghead:
Nice to see you back on the boards again. :)
Nice sleeper too.
Hey, what kind of times you running in that SS anyway. With the N20 on the car, you should be running about 10-11 second times.
Let me know.

I love these cars. They pull up beside me and have their bass shaken their windows and act like as if they have a chance at beating me. Give them a little head start then blow by them as I shift into 3rd and break loose the tires.
Too much fun. Wait till the cam goes in this spring. I should be pushing around 500+ hp then.(hopefully)

You still have the Monte SS. I love those. My second car was a 71 Monte carlo. Not an SS but it was showroom till I hit a cement wall at 65 mph.

Whoa, nice to see some real muscle cars in this thread. Yay...
Way to go guys, nice cars too and you know, its funny, but the Honda (rice) boys seem to think they can even take on muscle cars.
DGB, nice car man.
