fastest car for 5k

Probably a Fox body Mustang, or early LT1 F-body. Get nitrous, and all the usual bolt-ons you could afford.:odd:

That's like 8k here right? Well, a Kingswood, restore it a bit, then you've got a nice V8 under the hood...they only cost like 2 grand now don't they?

You could steal Josh's Trans Am - that's practically free. Then go off and hide it somewhere they'll never find it. Go off to jail for car theft, and come back to where you hid it, and bam - you've got it. They can't try you again for the crime, that's double jeopardy.

Score, I beat the system!

yeah, what he said :D
they can be little monsters if you tweak them well, and there is a huge aftermarket for all those cars

Cano

bang for da buck!

get a 68 nova or something get some used slicks and 10 inch wheels, but a motor for 3 grand with 450 hp, adn you are well into the 11's

Until the next time they catch you driving the same piece of stolen property.

The system ownz j00, Doug!
I can't believe I just typed like that. ****.

if you were here in the UK you could get a jaguar XJS, they can be had for cheap, at that price they will need restoration or have serious problems developing but a 6 litre V12 will be yours :D

1st gen DSM. early 90s eclipse or talon, gotta make sure its the turbo version, they're not the prettiest cars, but w/ a few simple bolt ons those can fly pretty well....might be a little hard to find one in good shape tho, but its possible

Yeah, I have to jump on the Fox Mustang bandwagon for cheep speed needs. The parts and aftermarket are cheap and plentiful, and there is a ton of information available about how to sort them out.

Go to www.grmotorsports.com and look into their $2002 and $2003 Challenges. There are some decent-handling, quick cars there for a low total investment.

They can't charge you with posession of the same stolen property twice. [/B]

Why? If you're still driving around in stolen property why couldn't they? If they catch you in it, and charge you, and you get out, and get caught in the same stolen car again, I wouldn't see why not.

'Cos it's the same charge for being seen in the same property! You can't be charged with the same crime twice. Let's test it.

So if I shot you in your face, and went to jail for it, and got out, and shot you in the face again, I'd go free because I had already been charged with the same offense before?

If I would've known this, I would have stolen a Supra Turbo by now. That way I could get charged with it, get out, and go drive it whenever the hell I want. I don't think so.

I think you watched Double Jeapordy a few too many times.

No. I guess it has to be absolute since you can shoot somebody in the face any number of times. So, fine, I'm wrong.

I just purchased my first car, a 1994 Ford Mustang GT. It's the first year with the updated body styling (non-hatch), but it still has the 5.0L engine. I can't wait to start building this baby up. Aftermarket parts for the 5.0 are pleantiful and relatively inexpensive.

It's also my first time driving manual transmission. :D

Shooting a person on two different occasions, regardless of where the bullet entered, constitutes two separate crimes. ;)

The car was only stolen once, yet cleverly hidden multiple times.

I wonder if they could charge you with possession of stolen property more than once.

By the way, is there such a word as "irregardless"? It's the most pleasantly pompus word to use, as far as nonstandard english goes.

I think you watched Double Jeapordy a few too many times.

Gas mileage is a killer. Do you pay for it?

I paid for the whole gamut, including tax, title, license, registration, gas, insurance, maintenance, etc. I love commas.

I won't be smiling at the pump, but i'm definitely beaming when my foot's on the accelerator.

Unfortunately, the five-0 that went into the 94 and 95s isnt as potent stock as the fox body's are. And they arent *too* terrible at the pump, it just depends on how u drive it.

Explain.

From what I've read, the 20 HP drop from 1992 to 1993 can be attributed to a change in the way Ford tested engines and bunch of minor changes. For instance, the Mass Airflow system (introduced in '89) dropped a few HP. An intake restrictor dropped 5 to 7 and an exhaust change accounted for a few more.

I'm not completely clear on any engine changes from 1993 to 1994.

What exactly were you refering to, again?
