But yeah, I think everyones oppinion on this is going to be different, simply because not all of us have had the chance to race online against each other enough. Not to mention practice and favourite tracks, car preferences etc.

Unfortunately, having only a JPN copy, I don't get to see many GTP members, but the ones I have raced with have always been clean and much faster than the other racers. As for me, I'm far from a great hot lapper, but when it comes down to the actual race, assuming I dont get constantly rammed, you can bet that I'll be in the top 3; it's all about not making big mistakes and running consistent. There have been times I've gotten rammed off the road several times only to still win the race.
However, there were a few times I met my match. One time in the Ferrari Suzuka event, I was in my Ferrari Cali goin through the field like normal, but there was only 1 guy I wasn't passing, and he had the really old Ferrari (I cannot remember the name of it, but it's the slowest Ferrari in the game). I was running some of my best lap times and couldn't gain any ground on him, which is extremely impressive (the game showed much less PP for his car than mine...ouch, talk about a shot to the ego hahaha). I was able to stay within striking distance and when he slipped up, I was there to capitalize and he stayed in 2nd behind me. I couldn't pull away from him, but I did good enough to maintain my lead. Very tough race.
It's funny, though, the best thing you can do to someone you want to pass is just stay in their mirror. Don't let them get comfortable and they will most likely make a mistake. When that guy was tailing me and not letting me get a nice cushy lead, it was much tougher to maintain composure while still pushing as much as I could.

I'm on a NTSC-J copy of Prologue as well, so the only way I see anybody is through the international races.
Timppaq & zabeu have been fantastic in all the events I've raced against them in.
Kingcars, you must be talking about the Ferrari 512BB '76. Fantastic car, pretty much all I drove for the Ferrari Event.

Who's the fastest guy I've raced??? FAK_EVIL bar none(from Italy I believe). This guy is definitely from a different planet. He is the only guy who seems to pull away from the field on a regular basis...regardless of who he's racing and what he is driving. If I can stay in his draft I have a chance of keeping up 1 time out of 10 
...if not he'll see me and everyone else later...in the next race lol. He's the Michael Schumacher of GT5P IMO.

i miss the competition of the world events as well.It's always good to get a group of people who are fast ripping around a track
but not trying to win at any cost.

3 names that spring to mind... FAK_EVIL, RudiRaser, DoctorBen.. sorry if i get names spelt wrong. These guys are proper 'quick'. Plenty of others that are way quick too, but these guys made a great impression on me !
You know we've not met on the track have we. ? My time trial times don't translate to live racing as well as I'd like. ! As we are 100'ths apart, I'd imagine it'd be close. 👍

Who is FAK_3VIL? I there are several other guys who rate him hands down as the fastest online racer and I'm now dying to meet him!
vrrm, Tizzlaaaa and Sinsemila are also astonishingly quick. I watched vrrm run a 10'42 the other night around Suzuka and I had the impression he wasn't even breaking a sweat!

I first encountered FAK_3VIL in the 750 PP Suzuka races a while ago. Driving a Tuned Clio & starting at the front with low PP he was uncatchable, but even when bumped off the road in T1 he would still make his way back through the field. As I mentioned in a thread at the time: in about two & a half hours of racing he won every single race against some tough competition. 👍

I just came across him in a 600PP car... the Lexus IS-F. We were in 650PP cars and he still managed to keep up with us, albeit he finished about 10 seconds off the pace.
It was an amazing display, running an 11'28 second time around Suzuka in a 600PP Lexus.

Shame the other day you were racing a 600pp F40, i would have loved a more even match up as i was running 640pp. I cut my car back to 600pp for the next race but never matched up again
I enjoy racing fellow NZers, but i see you guys so little that when i do see you in a race, i duff the first corner lol

I was testing the F40 for the 600pp comp, and didn't expect to see another F40, let alone a NZer ! joeninety is talking about setting up a kiwi only evening... there's a few of us around.. would be good fun ! 👍

I've waxed lyrical about the guys I admire the most in many threads in the Race Events forum, but just wanted to give them the credit they are due in a more public and compliment-based thread..
GTP_JvM is a first-class, stylish, fast and tremendously clean driver. It's a shame for everyone that he's only around late at night. I first encountered this flying Finn during the F430 vs GTR vs Corvette HSR race and was very pleased when he joined this forum. Fast in absolutely every event and a real pleasure whenever I see him on the grid. I could say the exact same for GTP_Hun. Honestly when there are only 4 cars on the grid and I'm racing JvM, Hun and FAK...really don't need the other 8 cars to show up at all.
GTP_hyperuk, always has a good word to say about other drivers, blisteringly quick as well in all classes and cars. He walked away with the GTP Lotus Evora Cup and that was an award voted for by all the many participants in that very successful event. He's currently tearing up the track in No Mercy 600PP and anyone could learn a thing or three by watching his lines and driving closely.
FAK_EV1L. Any car, any track....his mistakes are incredibly rare, tremendously courteous driver and a really great guy if you get a chance to have a chat with him. If I ever get within a second of what this gentleman is capable of, I'll be damn proud of myself.

Fantastic speed as evidenced by his continuous progression in the official events and his extremely impressive lap in the Evora hotlap. Not to mention a throughly great bloke.

Suede53 - the most patient racer I have ever met , knows when to get ya.
DaddyVDubb - will push your buttons hard and clean

Tedsleds - this dude can tune a car and drive it like nobodys business

Nivola did a couple of days before with his GTR a 10.33,0xx
my fastest time without much slepstream was a 10.39,5xx. (EvoX Tuned) best hotlap was a 2.06,776

Anything below a 10,40 is just plain out of this world - a 10,33 !? has he found a gate open somewhere around the track.
