And yes, I have used the search option. I would like to know what roadcar/supercar can be tuned to lap the nurburgring in under 6minutes or close. I have tuned my R8 and LP670 which can both run close to 6:30 but I was looking for something faster..

Forget it. sub 6:00 is the reserve for race cars, and properly quick LMP cars at that. There is no possibility for a road car to get around that quick.

I saw a video of a guy getting a lap of 6:13 with the McLaren F1 therefore an exceptional tune may be able to manage under 6minutes?

Well then, now you've got the car, go get the tune.

RKM
RVR
Some other guy's tune :D

Just slap some RS tyres on it if it suggests otherwise. Good luck, have fun and I hope to see you crack the 6:00 min mark 👍

Who's he? :irked: :D My tune isn't fully modified (mind you, none of them are) and, I do admit, can understeer a little but it will win the Real Circuit Tours on the Nurb 24h, as explained in the tune itself. :D

A number of "road" cars should be able to get close to if not below 6 minutes on Nürburgring Nordschleife. I know my tune for the Audi RS6 has been driven to a 6:25 there with a little room for improvement, considering the R8s are much more capable cars they should get you down close to the 6 minute mark. Same for a fully tuned Viper ACR as the same driver took my tune of the ACR which has stock HP at their request to a sub 6:40 time.
Would say several of the hyper exotics and concept cars should be able to get under 6 minutes if properly tuned with a very skilled driver. (The driver I mentioned is a WRS D1 silver driver, making them nearly an alien compared to me and my poor driving skills:lol:)

Ford GT '05 is pretty fun. McLaren F1, LP640/670, cars like that.

If the "cheater" road cars count, this becomes easy, being the "road cars" with full race car downforce, I may have to try this though, just with actual road cars.
I'm thinking once again, 4WD is the easy way.

Considering what you did with the "Slacker Edition" a maximum HP Viper should be real close with its extra acceleration and top end speed. Also thinking a R8 would be very close, especially considering your time with my "Grüner Walddrache", since their meant for high performance handling unlike that land yacht.:D
What I really want to see though is you trying to beat 6 minutes in a Mustang, any Mustang! Since you can get a FF SRT4 around the ring in approximately 6:30 I'm thinking you should be even faster with a proper Mustang, question is how much faster? If you want I'll try tuning a couple for you...:D

TBH I haven't tried anything fully loaded around the ring yet, aside from those few cars in you challenge, so it should be very interesting.

Maybe you could update the ringmasters challenge with a "any road car under 6 min" challenge? (of course defining road car by downforce would help)

Sure could do that. Problem I see is convincing people that a McLaren F1 isn't a real road car, otherwise I would set it up as an unlimited PP and tire version of the current shootout.

Speaking of the Ring Masters challenge did you try for the 100HP one yet? I was getting fairly close with a S800 but it might not have enough torque even with a better driver using a manual transmission. Very nice car though considering its a '68!:D

How about the TVR Speed 12. 1000bhp with full downforce, should be quick.

Counting that you have supernatural throttle control, if not it'll be very frustrating.

I'd count the McLaren in my book, it's the NSX proto, R390, etc with real racing downforce I wouldn't count.
I'd say a limit of 20 front downforce would be good, the Jag XJ220 should count too, though it probably has no chance.
