Was it on alien?

I like the GTA but it's far from my favorite in the pack that's all. I absolutely love the McLaren F1 GTR and P1, and the Merc C9 the most. They are so fun to drive.
Nah 93%. I then spend half an hour tweaking the setup so it would handle more stable before i managed to come in 3rd. Something i noticed so far is that a lot of the default settings are not good (probably on purpose so tuners can have some fun).

Sucks for those of us who are :dunce: about tuning. I prefer to drive my cars with stock settings, plus I know less about tuning a car than I know about quantum physics. So, I'm relegated to the back of the grid until I can hire a crack mechanic. :P

Merc 190 Evo is my favorite so far, that thing is a right hoot and feels amazing on the T300. The Alfa GTA is up there too. Least favorite is the Sauber C9, I find the steering to feel very disconnected and light.

I'm not an expert neither, learned it from GT so go figure :D
What i do is go to a short track that has a good mix of tight corners and fast sweeping ones (to test downforce). Ideal examples are Magione and Tsukuba. Then just adjust one thing at a time, go back out and see if you like the difference. If you're like me and only understand a small bit that's the best way to see which setting does what to your car.

One standard thing is tire pressures are way too high in most cases. If you have the tire temp. app you'll easily see they don't reach their optimum temperatures. For the rest if you have racecars the first thing you need to adjust are the wings to try to balance out under/oversteer or add downforce. Then do the thing i talked about above; change one setting at a time and go from there.

It's quite enjoyable, and can feel very satisfying to your ego once you set a beast straight :)

I know way less than that! And what I did know I learned from GT, and found out most of it was backwards or opposite of what it should be, so my knowledge is useless. But, I tend to enjoy adapting my driving to the car instead of trying to adapt the car to my driving, so being tune-free works out for me most of the time. I reckon I'll have to learn a few things sooner than later though since I'm even further off the pace in AC online than I was in GT. :dunce:

Here are the basics to get you started:

I had voted for the Alfa GTA, but I find myself spending a lot more time driving the Alfa 4c.:)
The BMW 235i is one I like also.
I haven't even tried the Corvette, the Mclarens, and the GT-R , nor do I have any plans to.
The others are ok, and I'll drive them for a race, but not just for the fun of it.

That's the beauty of this car pack, anyone can find the cars they love to play. I couldn't care less about weak and useless road cars in a racing sim, but the GT-R and C7R are perfect stuff. I'd trade all three alfas for R8 GT3, if I could.

Pretty much the same here except I have a couple more not driven cars. GT and super cars don't interest me.

The F1 GTR: Omg the sound! Omg the oversteer on corner exit! Green track and medium slicks = scary! On top of that, H-shifter!
Hahah, what fun. :)
The F1 GTR uses a gated shifter? I did not know that. This car my very well be seeing some track time.

I'm pretty far from an expert myself. But I think that all you have to do to drive a car with its "factory" settings and realistic(ish) grip is:
1. Select Slow or Green track
2. Select the right temp (for Nurb under 15 degrees Celcius)
3. Select street tyres

Also, when selecting car difficulty, it seems Pro is the way to go. When you select that, Traction Control is set to "Factory", which I'm assuming is correct? I mostly turn that off though, and leave "ABS" at "Factory".

This is what I could gather from Aristotelis' posts:

Someone please add additional info or correct me if I'm wrong.

I loved every car I have tried, the Merc 190 is my favourite though. I don't think there is any bad point about this car, and I usually don't like cars with racing tyres. It revs high which is always a plus for me, it's great to drive and sounds orgasmic in replays. I wish the E30 felt as good, but it just bounces all over the place.

Edit: Actually I didn't like the 4C at all, it was very boring to drive and I haven't tried the 235i yet.

You mean "pro" as in the RSR Live Timing version of pro?

I haven't used that app unfortunately. I just meant Pro as opposed to Gamer or Racer under Realism settings. But I'm not sure what's best or most accurate for each car.

Asked this question yesterday in another thread. My question belongs here so I'm going to ask it again.

I bought AC + Dream pack, installed it and when I start AC I can't find the Dream pack content. Where in AC can I find the track and cars from the dream pack? Do I need to finish a part of the career first of can I find it in "events"?

It is just in with everything else, there is no separate menu or anything, just extra cars to choose from and obviously the track, too. Go in to hotlapping mode or something and just choose the relevant car / track from there
