I did an extensive search, but all I found was the best F1. :sly:

Which of these 725HP-973HP monsters are your favorite?

I have to pick the F688/S, since it's so perfect, little turbo lag, amazing handling, best tire wear out of all F1's except the F090/S, even though it's tied with the F094/S and H in HP and wear.

This F1 is also the sexiest, it has a big PD symbol on it, best color choice, and pretty good speed and powerband.

So what is your favorite? :)

Second favorite is the F686/M, has turbo, 973HP, destroys all competition, and can do some great drifts.

EDIT: WTF? I picked multiple choice thread and it's single choice?

I'm forgetting at the moment but I know it's black. I'll get back to this poll later in the afternoon.

Could it be this one? 💡

That's the F687/S in real life, driven by Senna.

EDIT: Looks EXACTLY like the one on GT3, but some different decals.

Sorry I don't remember the name of it, but its silver with black and its a 2004 model.

But I am not a big fan of the F1 cars in GT games.

Is that a Formula Gran Turismo 04'?
Anyways,i voted for the F686/M.It has good straight line speed, and have a good cornering (but too bad it has a turbo lag....)
was it this?

It's a Williams with a Renault engine, not a Renault.
 Snarty Pants. :)

Anyone notices that the F688/S is claimed to be the F1 left in the dust, but it won the Super Speedway with the AI driving?

If you got things right, I wouldn't need to be. (Whatever "snarty" means)

The F687/S is a 1987 Lotus driven by Senna. You've pictured the 1986 car.

GT4?Since when we were talking about GT4?Wasn't it in GT3.Even if it was the Formula Gran Turismo car,its less likely to look like one ;)

Haha.No wonder CNG called you a "Snarty Pants" (yeah a spelling error...lol) But i think both of you are wrong.Isn't the Williams Renault first used in 1989?And besides, its obviously a Honda powered Wiliams fw11 (look at the big H logo on the nose of the car)The car was also features in Formula One 05/06 (somewhere about there) as an unlocked vehicle.

Sorry. I meant to say GT3.

And yes, CNG was completely wrong, I was only slightly wrong. The FW11/F686M was indeed a Williams Honda.

Bear in mind that as I'm a PAL user, we didn't get any of those F1s, (We only got the P001 & P002, which were the F094S and the F688s) and it was from GT3 which is a good few years ago. That's my excuse anyway. :dopey:

Well its okay, doesn't matter anyway.I did clear up a few things about the car.But now onto another car in GT3 which i also like (but didn't bote for it) which is the F090/S.It has to be said one of the best handling and acceleration F1 car in GT3 (to me at least).Has the McLaren MP4/5 has any resemblance to the F090/S?Compare the pictures below:

The F090/S

Mclaren_mp4_5.jpg

Ayrton Senna's McLaren MP4/5

Is it me or is just PD are just racist or something?Does the F1 car in the game happened to be a Honda or its just a misconception?Almost in every game they make, they always have more Japanese manufacturers/cars than American and European manufacturers/cars.I'm just wondering......

From another thread.

From GTP's very own GT3 car list

F090/S (F1, McLaren, Senna, 1990) '90 (US Only)
F094/H (F1, Williams, Hill, 1994) '94 (US Only)
F094/S (F1, Williams, Senna, 1994) '94
F686/M (F1, Williams, Mansell, 1986) '86 (US Only)
F687/S (F1, Lotus, Senna, 1987) '87 (US Only)
F688/S (F1, McLaren, Senna, 1988) '88

The 6 denotes a V6, the 0 is a V10. The next number is the year. The letter is the driver's surname (Senna, Mansell, Hill).

PAL drivers only got the F094/S and the F688/S, renamed as the Polyphony001 and polyphony002 respectively.
F090/S is the McLaren MP4/5.
F094/S & H are the Williams Renault FW16. (aka Polyphony001)
F686/M is the Williams Honda FW11
F687/S is the Lotus Renault 99T
F688/S is the McLaren Honda MP4/4 (aka Polyphony002)

PD aren't racist, they are car lovers who designed a game (GT) for primarily the Japanese market, so naturally, they would concentrate on Japanese makes and models. Each version of GT has made it to a wider audience, and each successive version has had more cars from other countries included.

I believe that there are more non-Japanese car models in GT4 than any other game.

Haven't the combined sales figures for US and Europe exceeded Japanese sales ever since GT1?

Over 400 Japanese cars in GT4 out of 730 or so total. GT4 has more cars from one Japanese manufacturer (Nissan) than from the UK, France and Italy combined. Having said that, yes, there are more non-Japanese cars in GT4 than the previous GT4 games. And the 300 some odd non-Japanese cars would of course exceed another game which has only 100 cars in total. Still and all, I feel Japanese cars are still overrepresented in GT4 by a wide margin.

I agree 👍 I mean, when GT1 came out, it wasn't supposed to be a worldwide success; Polyphony Digital and Sony thought it would appeal to hardcore gearheads but that was it. Since the game was made in Japan, it makes sense they got licensing from Japanese models easily.

But come on....they should have started to balance the scales a bit by now. 👎 Even in GT3...there's hardly any Euro models 👎

Whatever.

You have a good point, why not have more Euro cars? The Peugeot 908 RC Concept is one great car, but not too many people know about it. (As well as the 908 Race Car.) Litterally 65% of the cars in GT4 are Japanese. 👎 That is just straight carist, no doubt about it. They got the specs nailed for the Nissan Skyline, but not the Jay Leno Tank Car, or the Jaguar XJ220. 👎 They give cars like the Mazda RX-7 glorious sound, but not cars like the Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, or others. How they only add 1 Belgian car? Or one Spanish car? Or 1 Swedish car? Out of over 700 cars? That is just disappointing. I also hate how the back of the cover says theres over 100 tracks. WTF! *:grumpy:*

:irked:

i only have the polyphone 001 wer do u get the f1 cars plzwb

Have you tried reading the thread? The information you are looking for is mentioned at least twice... 💡

And speak English. 💡

Mclaren MP4/4-Honda

It was ther first I won in the game and ive quite a few thousand miles on it. Not to mention it was the most dominant car in (somewhat) modern F1 history.

to repyl to cng
they should have the guts to put out more of the other countrys car rather than focusing on there country cars. they should give out respect for all the other cars. i once saw a video that they were giving sound tests to the only the jgtc and japan models. it kinda pissed me off. they said that they had gotten about every sound correct on the advertisement for the game. and about that 100 tracks stuff, i think they mean included are the reverse tracks. its kinda reatarded

CNG
Eww... what is that thing sticking out on the top of the F090/S? :yuck:

I'm no expert but it's gotta be a duct for air intake towards either the turbo/combustion system or cooling or both. 💡

Combustion system? :D First time I've heard an engine referred to as a 'combustion system'!

I was speaking specifically of the air intake that leads to the combustion system. Not the entire engine.

Okay, first time I've ever heard of any part of a car referred to as a 'combustion system' then.
