I like both Gr3 and Gr4, but I'm slow in Gr3 compared to the other DR A drivers. I'm much more competitive in Gr4 (for now) so it gets my vote. As I get better I think my vote will eventually swing the other way.

In Gr2 I find the added speed makes for many more penalties and makes the races less fun.
Gr1 is even worse than Gr2 for the same reason.
Anything slower than Gr4 makes passing clean more difficult because you need to drive parallel longer and that causes more penalties (plus the brakes are worse).

I've always enjoyed GT3 racing, so GR3 wins it for me.

I really hope that they can one day make mixed class race, such as having GR3 and GR1 like we get with Le Mans. Also I think they should allow GR3 and GR2 cars to race together online, after all the GR2 single player races have GT3 cars added to fill out the grid. I use to love doing GT300 and GT500 JGTC style race series back in GT5 (I never bought GT6 when I had my PS3). I really miss the old GT500 cars that were in GT5. I loved the old ARTA Honda NSX , the Toyota Mk4 Supra's and the RX-7FD race cars.

To all that answered Gr. 4, has the addition of the Trophy swayed you?

I personally did, and now I enjoy Gr. 3 more than Gr. 4 becaude of the absolute dominance that the Veyron and Trophy hold in that class. I was okay with the Veyron to begin with, a one-trick pony at Monza. But ever since the Trophy was added I felt like the only time I wasn't using the Trophy is when I'm using the Veyron, so yeh

I'm interested how the Trophy affected you guys
Personally no because I know I can make up time on the straights, and I feel like most of the players I race against are not super consistent. I find myself running within .5-1 second of my quali lap on every single lap. I also will let a Trophy out brake me, and then I'll stay on their ass through the corner and down the straight to keep pressure on them until they miss a braking point or go wide. I really like to **** with peoples mind when I'm behind them.

Haha. That's true.

GR4 because I love my AWD Huracans. I keep a fleet of them with different paint jobs, in case I piss someone off, I'll use one with a different livery in the next race. I usually get beat by the Megane Trophys, but once in a while, I beat them and it's pretty satisfying.

Funny thing about Gr4. xD
My friend always drives Megane, I always drive 86.
And he always makes qually time with Megane and then I improve it.
And instead of driving race with Megane, I take 86. xD
2 nights ago, we were driving Nurburgring Gr4 ... He made 2:10.2 with Megane, then I put 2:08.1 with Megane. Then he drove race with Megane, and then I race with 86 ... I guess everyone in my race thought that I was super super crazy if I did 2:08 with 86. I did try to make 86 qually time later, it was 5-6 seconds slower then Megane.

Here's a question: If Sport Mode limited Gr. 3/Gr.4 cars to their real world cars, what would people choose?

In game based on real GT3(not including GTLM, VLN, etc.), there are: Huracan, AMG GT, GT-R, 458, RC F, R8, M6, NSX, 650S, Vantage

For GT4(RWD only): M4, Cayman, Vantage, Mustang, F-Type. Would that change people's views on which is their favorite?

Still the same GR1 > GR2 > GR3 >>> GR4.

GR.1 should be split in two though.

The network better work tomorrow for N24 GR.1!

Oh, wait, it's Nordschleife, that's going to be fun starting last...

Ohhh that's true :) Trophies do get horribly molested on the straights. But in Race C they're so fuel efficient as well that even if I can hold my position in another car they'll just jump me in the pits :( the next most fuel efficient car I know of (the 86) is just one level lower in everything than the Trophy, and doesn't have the straight line speed to molest it either :(

At first, I enjoyed Gr.4 more, but currently, although not perfect, Gr.3 BoP just feels much better. I'm also probably biased because when the game released, my Gr.4 races were better, but now that's the opposite. Gr.2 and especially Gr.1 are just not my style.

Tough call. I love the Gr.3 911 RSR and RS01. But Gr.3 cars are almost silhouette racers, with all of them RWD. Gr.4 cars are closer to their road car counterparts, and you get so many drivetrain configurations to master, but slower.

I'll go with Gr.4.

I usually go with a Corvette or mustang but I also usually do race B or lobbies of the same length. If there is an even moderate straight, I'm able to catch up. Still working on something for longer races. The Trophy is way to fuel efficient

Interesting point. If there 7-8 trophy's in a race, for me it's a matter of how many trophy's I can get ahead of. If I manage to stay/get ahead of at least 4 it's a win :D

I'm either in a 650s, Genesis or an SLS.

Do tell if you find a way to beat the Trophies in Race C :)

My end goal is to win against a Trophy field with a car like yours ;w;

Depending on how I feel it´s a tie between Group 4 and Group 2. It´d be Gr. 2 if they included DTM Cars there as well. ( I am well aware DTM and Super GT are not the same and probably even won´t be with class 1, I just feel they could be grouped for gameplay purposes)

It'll be easier at my skill level (DR B)sinc eeveryone messes up at some point in a race. I'm consistent but not fast enough. I mostly finish top 5 :(

I don't think it'll be that easy for you seeing as you're fast vs other equally fast drivers.

It's not entirely impossible with dailies and its more varied matchmaking, so my goal is to be fast enough to outweigh my inherent pace deficit against A-B ranks by using a slower car :)

Group 3 is right now the most balanced and varied experience. Definitely my go to.

Group 2 is balanced and fun - have not really found a car that would feel my own yet though. More car variety would be welcome.

Group 4 would be great if the BoP was even close to competitive. Most races feel like one make races when one car is specced just too nicely for a particular track.

I liked racing GT3 cars in other games so my vote goes to Group 3. The cars are balanced very well for the most part and you have a wide variety of cars to choose from. They also have the perfect combination of speed and grip for me.

Atm its Gr.3, because it feels the most balanced.
Gr.4 is ruined by the megane right now and Gr.1 has too many Vision cars IMO.
Gr.2 suffers from the strict penalty system but is fun to race if the others drive fair.

Gr.4 is too easy, not in the sense that I win every race because I don’t. I mean if you drive a car to it’s limit in Gr.1/2/3 you’re a gnats testicle on the throttle away from a spin, that’s exhilarating.

This, plus the cars in Group 4 aren't as balanced.

If it was base more on real life I would take either the 488 or Vantage GT3 cars.

For Gr2 and Gr3 fans question, from a Gr4 fan.
How the f.....k can you shift manual on that races? XD To me ... just cars are way way to fast. I miss shift a lot in Gr3, and especially in Gr2.
In Gr3 I lose about 1.5 - 2 seconds per lap on manual. How can you shift manual in Gr3 / Gr2?
I only can shift really really good in Gr4. -.- xD

miss shift? You mean you're using the clutch for Gr. 3 and 2?

Gr. 4-1 are all paddle shifters :)

Miss shift - I mean on; either I shift too soon or too late .. I just can't hit right time, 'couse cars RPMs are strange and fast.
I can only shift in Gr4. In Gr4 I shift like crazy, but on Gr3+ , no way. :/

Hmm, is it when you shift up or shift down that's the problem? If it's shifting up, is it that you're having problems with shifting at moment the rev bar flashes?
;) alright, unfortunately not the strongest lobby so I guess it's only really the 1 Trophy that I beat, but still!

Yay!

Alpha - when I shift up - I'm usually too late. And in downshifts - I'm unsure couse of the speed - I downshift one gear too much.
I have that problem since always - 'couse in every racing game, I prefer Gr4 alike cars ... I was never big fan of hyper cars.
I just miss the moment in upshifting, and in downshifting - I'm unsure how much do I need downshift and adopt shifting to speed.
I don't have that problem in Gr4 'couse cars are way slower. But in Gr3 I have. I think I don't need to comment on Gr2 then. xD
