Yes, it's a combustion air intake. The radiators are located in the side pods and are fed cool air from behind each front wheel. Is that what you're getting at, Parnelli? And CNG, have you seen no F1 footage from between 1970 and 1995?

What "thing" are you talking about then? The opening above the drivers head is the air intake for the engine.

CNG
Not exactly, but the picture of the real F1 version of the F090/S doesn't have it in that picture. :indiff:

Senna's 1990 McLaren.

No the thing NEXT to the intake. Can't you see it? It sticks out like a sore thumb. It's only visible on GT3, but I can't find it on real life photos.

i picked the F094/H V10 NA because i remember using it the most and i thought it looked the best:)

Yes. Air + fuel + spark = combustion. Sorry for the confusion I thought everyone here knows how internal combustion engines create their power.

i voted the f090/s although i own pal gt3. i like the loook of this one but i cant say i have ever driven any of them. in pal gt3, i prefer the polyphony001 to the 002, not just because of the slight difference in top speed and bhp but the overall look is better as the 001 looks like an f1 car, with the 002 looking more like a gp2 or lower car.

Here are my times in these F1's on Cote d' Azur.
Turbo F1's
F686/M - 1'12.424 - 973HP
F687/S - 1'12.567 - 932HP
F688/S - 1'13.299 - 829HP
NA F1's
F094/S - 1'12.937 - 829HP
F094/H - 1'12.822 - 829HP
F090/S - 1'14.485 - 725HP

The F686/M is one heck of a F1.

From GT3times

Code:
Rank Driver Car Time
103 quartzimer 1986 F686/M F1 Car 1:14.467

Also from GT3 times

Code:
Rank Driver Car Time
1 Tannis Polyphony 001 F1 Car (PAL) 1:06.446

Perhaps you should learn to drive the F094/S?

OMG... WTF!

I spent a whole 10 minutes on each car tuning thier settings. :grumpy: And it's not even keeping up with that time?

I used 1.00 Downforce front and 1.30 rear, for more speed and tighter turning radius. I didn't even use driving aids at all. How did he do it?

I can drive damn well and he did that good of a time? Not even special settings helped me bet that many track times? :(

That is why I hate the internet. You think you are one fine driver, then someone deep fries your lap records.

Okay I got a 1'08.232 in the F094/S and a 1'08.445 in the F094/H.

This morning I hit a time of 1'09.795 in the F606/M.

Where exactly are those lap times from daan?

Well I did faster than anyone else using a Turbo F1, but I guess I need proof before getting on that list. :guilty:

Does he have settings?

I picked the F094/H because it's the only one I've had. I also like larger NA engines than smaller turbo engines, so there you go.:sly:

:-)

I think that these F1 cars need to make a return in GT5, and a few more F1's and F1 races. 👍

Think of it, it would be exciting, especially with cockpit views. Racing more than just 6 F1's. Also some race tracks need to make a return, these features alone would make the GT series much better IMO, especially if racing modifications come back. Think of the possibilities!

Good thinking. What if they brought out earlier F1 cars for a novelty value as well? (i.e: Gilles Villeneuve's Ferrari 126C2, Riccardo Patrese's Shadow Racer, or even as early as Richie Ginther's Honda RA272?)

Sorry, I am only an older F1 nut, and I got a bit overzealous... but if they were to bring back these cars, perhaps driving in Formula GT in the future would be more of a challenge with these older cars...

Brabham-BMWs would make fine GT5 F1 racers as well.

P.S: I voted for the F094/S because in Formula GT it was my toughest opponent, giving me a real run for the title.

Any car that provides a good show can't all be that bad, can they?
