What is your favorite vehicles to run from the cops in San Andreas? (ANY vehicle)

1. Sultan: can outrun just about anything, fears no terrain, corners like a WRX. :sly:

2. NRG 500: Nothing can catch her, decent off-road ability, you feel like Valentino Rossi. :scared: 👍

3. Buffalo: Suprisingly good off-road, accelerates like a Group B monster, predictable FR handiling. 👍

4. Voodoo: Stupidly good handiling, very common in Los Santos, hard to unstick from the road, she can take a beating. 👍

5. LVPD cruiser: very good in every catergory, common (obviously) in LV, fun to drive. :dopey:

Post yours. :)

Not got San Andreas -

But mine for 40% of Liberty City...

Manchez (Off road bike) - Go anywhere do anything Boke that can lure chasing vehicles into pedestrian only zones and their tank stopping bollards.

PSJ-600 Stock superbike. Sounds like a bonzer bike amazing turn of speed, slightly clumsey in turns but miles better than the various "Harley V-twins" in the game. (Freeway/Angel/Avenger).

Stinger - Only used the Yakuza version which is easy to drive at speed and I guess is the same as a stock stinger. (Sort of Porsche Caymen?).

"Excess" - One of the Mafia Familes stock cars on Staunton Island. Poor colour, but found it easy to drive at high speeds and not as pendulous as some fo the supercars that drop about. (Farelli family?)

FBI Car - Not sure just how I managed to get one of these... (Think shoot out near a paint shop which once I managed to get a spray shop an unmaned FBI car was left behind... waste nto want not!). Nice car but Paint n Spray won't fix it up a damaged one.

There's something satisfying about escaping the fuzz in a Stafford.

Not a big fan of San Andreas, but of the whole series, definitely this little beast:

The Diablo Stallion. Looks great, sounds mean as hell, fast as any other car on GTA3, and handles great. Also it's a gang car so it's fitting it should be running from the police. Probably my favourite car in the GTA series. :)

definelty the FCR-900!

or a cop car i just robbed of them

or

BF Injection

or

bullet/ford gt

nope, if you're in a pursuit, you gotta drive:

either:

1. A turismo: gorgeous car, and it can outrun anything

2. an NRG: super fast and super nimble

3: a Bandito for offroad pursuits

4: a bullet: for those inner city sprint pursuits

5: a pimped out Blade, so you can evade and still look pimping :dopey:

Cop cars are a good choice if you're left stranded without a escape route. 👍 The ones in SA (finally) handle well, they are also uber durable and have a good top-end.

GTA 3: Manana (it has no speed, no acceleration and it get's smited fairly easily, but it handles like it's on rails).
GTA: Vice City: Blista Compact (see Manana, but add acceleration and durability)
GTA: San Andreas: FCR-900 (good overall, and pretty durable)

GTA 3:
1. Banshee, uber speed and handling, and available straight away
2. Diablo Stallion, see above^
3. Police, decent spped and handling excellent durability

Vice City:
1. BF Injection, above average speed, excellent handling and durability
2. Police, decent speed and handling, good durability
3. Comet, fantastic speed and handling, and decent durability

San Andreas:
1. FCR-900, very nippy, and great sound!
2. Dune, average speed and handling, but nothing can stop it
3. Monster, good speed and four wheel turning, but can roll quite easily so watch out!

LCS:
1. V8 Ghost, exceeds in almost every catagory
2. Police, same reason as GTA 3 police car (Same car)
3. Manana, slow and not very durable, but corners like nothing else

I prefer the tank myself. Not exactly swift, but turn the turret around, and anyone chasing you quickly becomes rubble. Firing backwards also gives the tank a bit of a boost :sly:.

1UP!

Tank > All (except the Hunter or Hydra)

I love using the Hydra...especially with a 6 star. Evading other Hydras in a dogfight is AWESOME.

Ha, nice one. I love the Diablo Stallion too. One of my favorite in the whole series. They dont last very long though:sly: ...

Remington - for road. I also like the Super GT, although they're rare.

Ranger - off roading. Proven police capability.

Hydra - for air. I still need to practice "safe" landing, though.

i think my favorite has to be the nrg because of its speed or the hpv because i think its the best all round bike... if im in a car it will have to be the sultan or the bullet, if im doing a bit of off roading then a rancher or a patriot will be my first choice... as for the dogfighting, me and my friend have a running bet to see who can get the most harriers and survive the longest using the P51 MUSTANG!!

for the streets of san fiero with the elevation changes, an admiral makes a great drift machine!

RESERECCTION! :dunce:

I found some new vehicles that you all should give a try:

Roadtrain: This thing is a beast, much more tougher than your average semi. It is perfect for getting through crowded city streets. It's also great for the countryside too, lots of torque for climbing decent grades at an acceptable speed. Plus, it's called a Roadtrain! (For our Aussie members. :sly:)

Mountain Bike: Problably the most underrated vehicle in the game: the bicycle, and this is the best of the bunch. Unlike the other two bikes, the Mountain Bike is effortless to ride, (Give those thumbs a rest. ;) ) it's also quite fast at full speed, plus it can climb anything you throw at it. (Or you could at least jump over it.) The only downside is that it's quite rare, usually the other two bikes will spawn instead.

If you know you are going to get into trouble, there's nothing better to arrive with than a jetpack. It gives you the best of all worlds - scoot along at or near ground level avoiding traffic, or get some altitude and play with the helicopters. You can land it just about anywhere, but there is usually no need to do so as you can still pick up bribes, armour, even weapons without letting go of the joystick.
If you are at hitman level with the cop pistol, then you can carry one in each hand (or in this case just your left hand) and use auto-aim to pick off targets whether in the air or on the ground. Plus, I've never been knocked off or dragged from the jetpack as happens with cars and bikes.
Sometimes I just grab a jetpack and go out to cause trouble. Survived long enough to collect 10,000+ ammo for the cop pistol (guess what I was shooting at) in one session without dropping below 5 stars wanted level.

I wouldn't consider a jetpack a vehicle though, it's more like a appliance. You can't save it in any garage, and you can't respray it.

I'd consider it just as much a mode of transport as any of the bicycles.

As for saving in garages and respraying, has anyone ever tried doing so with a boat? There's plenty of them available in the game.

No, what I meant was that the game dosen't register it as a vehicle, it has its own unique way of using it. (if that makes sense) A boat, car, or regular air vehicle use the standard programming, the jetpack is totally different from these.

And yes, If I remember correctly, you can spray a boat. But good luck with that.

I see what you are getting at now.

In that case, I just use whatever I arrived in, or whatever's clever and available - usually ends up being an HPV1000 police bike - quick, tough, and small enough to go places that chasing cars cannot. It's also much better off-road than the standard police cruiser.

- off to put GTA:SA back in the PS2 having just lost any chance of winning the roadster endurance in GT4 after 3 hours 47 minutes. ...and I've got a plan for that boat trick...

Good luck with that. 👍 It should keep you busy.

Ok, so I tried a Dinghy and a Coastguard in the Pay'n'spray at Santa Maria Beach, but neither worked - the garage failed to notice that they existed. I also attempted to get a Reefer, and a Squalo in there, but both were too big to fit in the door!

The obvious next stop was to try a bicycle. Took a BMX to the garage, and got the message that "I Don't Do Toys". I guess that's the official word on bicycles then - they are Toys, not Vehicles.:sly:

"Toys" got me thinking, so next up were the Go-Kart, Golf Caddy, Lawn Mower and Street Sweeper. All of these are vehicles according to the mod-shop in Temple which "cannot mod this vehicle".

All of this experimenting eventually led to me going on a rampage through the streets of Los Santos in a Combine Harvester. There's nothing else quite like it, It's not easy trying to getaway in something so slow, and so wide!

I guess I was wrong on the boat thing. Try a helicopter now, I guarantee it will work. 👍

And I knew you couldn't paint bicycles, I don't know why I didn't mention that. And if any thing that can't be painted isn't a vehicle, those cop cars are considered toys, and that tank is just a huge-ass RC car.
