Devo a one hit wonder? No way! They had a lot more than just 'Whip It.' Look up the following songs...

Freedom of Choice
Jerkin' Back 'n' Forth
Peek-A Boo!
That's Good
The Girl You Want
Uncontrollable Urge
Beautiful World

A Flock of Seaguls also had...

Wishing
Space Age Love Song
Nightmares

You people need to do some research.

Really? I blame VH1 for my ignorance then.

Stateside,they were a 1 hit wonder.

It's interesting how the popularity and hits from certain groups vary from country to country.

Big in the U.K., but never made it here in the States and or vise-versa ..... odd.

 Love this video, Taco performing Puttin' on the Ritz.

Also can't forget Murray Head's One Night in Bangkok

Over in the UK it's a One-Hit wonder, not sure about other places.

Owl City - Fireflies.

What an awesome thread - cooooooool....

Agreed about what is a one hit wonder in one country might not apply to another, but anyway, these are a few that I think only had one massive hit in the UK (or they are only ever remembered for one song - pretty similiar, well good enough for me anyway)....

Some of my favourites..

First one went to No 1 in the UK (even though it's sang in German), everything else they did went in the bin, well in the UK anyway...as far as I can remember....

Quite famous worldwide..

I think they did more songs, but can't remember any....don't think anyone else can either...

Hmmm, there's something about the sunshine....great tune, classic....

Rave time...she did another tune "I need your loving", but compared to this, it got nowhere - this tune went everywhere, for a long long time. The 'good old days' - white gloves, glow sticks, strobes and smoke machines rule...

This guy has released this tune about 153 times, well different versions of it, this is the original one that went from the underground to the top of the charts...don't put those white gloves away just yet...

Shut Up And Dance we're huge 'underground', this was the only one of their songs that made it mainstream, not a bad achievement seeing as they didn't have permission for the sample. As soon as it went out on sale it got banned, still sold enough copies to get in the charts - nuff sed..

Superb tune, don't think The Smiths were too happy they got one of their riffs sampled though..

Another UK classic, weird thing is it was the B side of this tune that got all the attention underground, then the commercial radio stations got hold of it and started playing the A side, and that's what got in the charts...

In case anyone's wondering (I doubt anyone is) here's the B side.. All time classic 'comedown' tune for the next day when you were chillin with your mates and Mrs..

All time legendary acid house tune that's still talked about now. One of my favourite tunes period, never fails to take you back.

Pills, spills, fields, belly aches and proud of it...

Never to be repeated, never to be forgotten.

Don't know if it was mentioned since I can't see the videos right now but 4 Non Blondes' "What's Up" played a lot in my walkman back in the day.

No, stateside, too. I'm stateside! I remember all those other hits they had.

Van Halen was known early on in the late '70s and early '80s but I think we can all agree that Jump did it for them.

Are you seriously trying to claim that Van Halen is a one hit wonder group, or are you just going massively off-topic?

If you really think Van Halen was one hit wonder shoot me now and assume my identity. Jump, Panama, Hot for Teacher, I could go on and on... By the way that's 3 hits right there.

Getting your info from wikipedia?

Explain to me why Van Halen's firs hit song and album was 5150, their first with Sammy Hagar?
