I would have picked one of the older Vauxhall Cavaliers or the older Vauxhall Astras from the early 1990's, and late 80's. But seeing as they weren't there, I had to pick the Vectra instead. Not my choice, but like I said, as close as I could get.

I remember that thing - it ran in Australia the first series the 2.0 super tourers got serious here.

The sad thing is in the first race Greg Hansford (a name for motorcycling enthusiasts) was killed at the wheel of a Ford Mondeo at Phillip Island, and it really took the wind out of the series.

The 850 wagon was hilarious - it was quite competitive at Phillip Island with its fast sweepers, but with the country tracks with the tight corners the poor thing would wheelspin itself stupid colming out of tight bends - 50/50 weight is great for rear drive, not front - oops....
 
CLK's rule. The old Audi 's kicked butt , and the Vectra's are up there .
