Which of the original tracks from GT1, which has made an appearance in all 4 GTs is your favourite?

I personally have a bit of a thing for Trial Mountain. I had a drive with the black GT-One with a Stage 4 Turbo whacked on it. Lot of fun! đź‘Ť

I love Grand Valley. Lots of corners and a good variety of them too. In the past I would have said R11, but it didn't make it to GT4:grumpy:

Is Midfeild not an option for any reason? I always loved it...
Besides that, I thought Deep Forest was good.

Of the tracks mentioned I like SSR-5.
I like Midfield and Apricot Hill for sorting out cars.
If a car will run well on any of the above tracks, you can take it just about anywhere and only tweak the final drive and be ok.

Deep Forest. Because of the middle part of the race track with the twists and if you get a car going though there well, ur looking at a fast lap time also the final corner easy to get though, hard to master

Guess who the only Grand Valley East voter was- Me! :P
Just love the track. Great turns, flows like water and takes about a minute to do a lap in a nice street car.
Definately the best replacement I've found for Ebisu.

It even seems to offer a chance for FF drivetrains to run-about without any kind of serious trouble.

Once again, Grand Valley East, definately one of my favs.

Not listed but worthy of mention...
Grand Canyon Rally track and El Capitan
Both great tracks. đź‘Ť

Btw, from the past... SSR11, Rome, Grindelwald...

Edit:
By god man! Autumn Ring, how could you forget Autumn Ring!
Just joking with you. ;)

Btw, if you are interested, I think I have the power to add in new options to that poll (if you want to) and I think you may have that power as well... Give it a look will ya? :D

Definitely Deep Forest for me, I just love the middle section of that track along with the final corner. The last corner gives you a chance to make up some time...but also a chance to loose a lot of time too.

Definitely Special Stage Route 5. Doing two-player wet races there in GT3 was the best. :)

-> Man! I can't vote on the ones listed for the poll! I like them all!!

-> My first fav when I was a rookie (GT1) was Trial Mountain, the track is very relaxing to do a time attack and race there.

-> Grand Valley has been my favorite original "long-type" GT track, but cars that are lower than 200hp struggles on that track, because with all of those high speed sweeps and long straight aways. (:

-> I used to hate Deep Forest with passion back in GT1-GT3, so many blind corners, fluctuating elevation changes, and the track has a dark ambiance (for a daylight-only track). This changed when I played GT4, after modded my ultamate trophy car (aka. the car that won most of my races in GT4) and primary drift car, my 22B "SSS: Super Sideways Special". This track is perfect for tuning drift cars in my opinion, with so many consecutive corners for you to make all those dynamic and brake drifts. (:

-> Other tracks that were not included that I loved to go laps with:
- Special Stage R11 GT1 Version
- High Speed Ring GT1 Version
- Autumn Ring
- Grindelwald
- Test Course GT1 Version

(:

Grand Valley.
By the way, that's the only original track I can think of now that would be an amazing real world track. It would serve well almost all kinds of racing categories.

I said Deep Forest, but Grand Valley, and Trial Mountain are tied for a very close second. I am actually quite surprised Apricot Hill is not up!?

SSR11 is great. I think I'm gonna have to go with the Trial Mountain. Grand Valley is just as good, if not better. It's just tad long for my taste.

Where is High Speed Ring, Autumn Ring Mini? High Speed was my first favorite track, Autumn Ring Mini was a blast to drive with a Dodge Viper in the first GT.

Definitely Special Stage Route 5. Doing two-player wet races there in GT3 was the best. :)

oh yeah man, that was a blast!

i also seem to love seeing the headlights of the cars, added another level to the gaming đź‘Ť

Back when I started with GT3, I used Trial Mountain, because it was the most fun of all three tracks I could drive. I used to hate DF because I always went wide exiting the hairpin and going up that hill on the back straight.

Now, DF is my fave. Make or lose lots of time before t1, a little challenging. The corner right before the tunnel is fun. I've gone up the inside of two Mclaren LM caliber cars at once there. Then you can outbrake another going into the next hairpin.

The next double-apex is entertaining. It is easy to go up the inside, because I take a really fast entry on the left of the track, then go out to the cobblestones (sometimes over:eek: ), cut back in for the 2nd apex at full throttle & continue up the hill.

That next sweeper can be difficult, but I always make up tons of time on the kink, the AI leaves so slow!

GV is also pretty good. I think that is the one original track on the list I would like to see on the F1 calendar, it just seems like a good race venue. Doesn't match the techicality of DF, though

From the tracks optional: Deep Forest. Best allround track in the game! If you want to make a general setup, that needs very little tweaking for any other track, use Deep Forest!

But where was Midfield??

ok let me clear this up:

the poll only contains those 6 tracks because these were the 6 tracks which were in all 4 GT games. But now I think of it, GVE and CSR5 weren't in GT3, so i'm not sure if i should keep them in........................OK, i will, and Kent, go ahead and add some more original tracks to the poll

With the tracks given, it is hard to choose. I like them all. I guess I would have to go with Trial Mountain. It's a fun course in either direction.

I didnt vote on my favorite track because, i like them all. The daytime tracks have such natural beauty and the nighttime tracks show all the wonderful night life.

(PS) I wish they bring back Clubman's Special Route 11 and Red Rock Valley in GT5.

And now, the first vote for for Clubman Route 5! :sly:

I, for one, love the fact that you get esses, then a short straight, then another set of esses right after! Getting that rhythm down is a great feeling.

P.S. - Haven't posted in the GT4 forum in forever...sheesh.

I love Grand Valley. Lots of corners and a good variety of them too. In the past I would have said R11, but it didn't make it to GT4:grumpy:

R11 was that REALLY big long loopy track?
Yes i also like the R11 as well, i wonder why they didn't put it in.

anywho, My fav'll be Trial Mountain, because i'd adapted to this so much from drifting practice and Model T glitching.

High speed ring would have taken my vote if it didn't loose so much glamour over the past 6/7 years. Not sure why PD had to make such odd changes to it (A suspension bridge, reduced number of grandstands, more grass, and a flatter road? Man! :odd:.)
Overall, Deep Forest would have to be my favourite... And (apart from the overhead trees and some rocks) even the changes made to it were fairly realistic. I've always considered it my home track since GT1 :sly:

I'd say either apricot hill or high speed ring. They aren't in your list, so i'd pick Grand valley. It's really challenging, and very fun to drive. :)

SSR5, I just like the place a lot, and I can put in good, consistent laptimes while having a lot of fun :)

Running it at night makes it different too, and it's a nice change to have a load of lights about for some reason.
