Favourite nationally/internationally spoken language?

Hello GTP users.


Before I begin, disclaimer: I'm sorry if there's already a relevant thread. I didn't see one, when I searched.



Anyways, what's your favourite language? No poll, because, well, firstly, I'd be worried about it, if I did let people select their own options, and secondly, that's an INCREDIBLY long list.




But, let's set some groundwork, first:

1. The most important rule: Make it a language that's officially spoken.
2. If it's a language that you made, when you were four, it doesn't count
3. Don't insult another language. Disagreements are okay, but, don't call out any OTHER languages, in an insulting or derogative manner.
4. Don't think that the GTPlanet moderators want to see you speak in a foreign (non-GTP language) without an accurate translation, at least.
5. For your posts, please continue to speak English, as the GTPlanet AUP dictates that you must
6. Keep any and all posts here clean of swearing.
7. Keep it on-topic, for the most part
8. Make sure to choose ONE favourite language. You may mention a few honourable mentions, but, please, I get really confused when you say a list of languages that is your favourite language.

For certain English. I couldn't bear to learn any more languages and would rather spend my life with the ability to ignore Chinese people in a genuine way through actually not knowing what they're talking about.

Ahhh, and I'm a big fan of Txtese as well.

Well obviously I'm going to say English as it's the only language I'm fluent in. Not bad at BASIC either. I'm passable at French, so that's OK, but a language that confuses me is Czech. Been there a few times, but I'm sure it's not necessary to have that many accents!

Well, I´m quite attached to my native soil - so it`s German. 👍
I like diversity of languages though!

Norwegian, well because its the language I speak.
Icelandicur, because its pretty darn hard to understand when they use 'ur' at the end of each word, but still a fun and interesting language.
Scottish/Irish, because the accent is really awesome!
Spanish, i've always wanted to learn and speak it, but never gotten that far.

I'll update OP, but, just to be sure, you want to say that Norwegian is your absolute favourite, Soap? I mean, if I were to allow multi-voting, I'd vote for every language except English, and we'd get nowhere.



P.S., as a Spanish speaker, I can say that Spanish is a beautiful language. And, oh, don't get me started on the cuisine... I could rant for days!

Right. I'll add it (it's a nationally spoken language) and I know someone (named Dafydd, no doubt) who speaks it.
