Instead of getting my hopes up high and being disappointed, I’ll just say the new update will be there bare minimum, meaning no new tracks, only 3 new cars and for the rest all the dev effort has gone into the PSVR2 support.

That’s a bar low enough to even not get disappointed by PD standards… I hope.

Ten cars:

  1. Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport Gr. 3
  2. Chevrolet Corvette C8.R ‘20
  3. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ‘18
  4. Honda NSX GT500 ‘00
  5. Jaguar XJ220 ‘92
  6. Lexus LFA ‘10
  7. McLaren Senna ‘18
  8. Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II ‘91
  9. Nissan R390 GT1 ‘98
  10. Toyota GT-One TS020 ‘99
Two new tracks:
  1. Grand Valley Speedway
  2. Sebring International Raceway

Also known as the "fanservice update".

Going to call this the "What's Dupe? What's Not?" Update:
  • Porsche 911 Turbo (993) '95
  • Honda S2000 (AP2) '06
  • Audi R8 LMS ultra '12 (Audi Sport Team Phoenix) [Gr.3]
  • Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 '08 (Volkswagen Motorsport) [Gr.4]
Track: Nurburgring Type V and Nurburgring GP/D, as per that slip.

EDIT: Also note that February is also Hagerty's adjustment month, so pick your bets on price changes too.

Scapes extended to support walking around your car in VR.
<hides>

Only, scapes build on fairly standard photography, do they not? Hence the fixed camera position and solidly framed borders in Scapes.

I have not looked too deeply in what is reflected in the paint of the cars to be convinced scapes consist of full 360 environments.
Plus: I’m on a PS4 and expect it to have further limitations in how well GT7 render reflections anyway.

But yes. Being able to move around in a scape and choose your position as photographer would be nothing short of awesome!
So I want You to be right and me to be wrong.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the RS500 got the RS200 Group B swap. The current max. Power(422BHP) for the Sierra is too silly.

A swap for the Sierra would be welcome. Of the motors currently available to us the Ecoboost from Focus RS would be very realistic. And the V6 from Ford GT the exotic key to big power.

If the Sierra gets a swap, realistically it'll probably be the same GT LM V8 that can be swapped into the Focus RS already. Which maxes out at a sweet 789 HP.

I think its still decent power, and its without connecting rods and pistons witch is unaccesable for most cars at the moment,

We also dont know witch of the cars
That will have bore up s, stroke up s and highlift camshaft s in future campared to cars we have it for now, i dont see why we could have it for more cars, but lately not much of that have change, and for old cars we cant get special parts at all, i have not got any new special parts since the ticket glitch, we can all argue that engine swaps is difficult to get, but at least its got easier with engine swaps tickets, special parts are much harder to get, even if you get 6 star parts ticket there is still get those stupid carbon brakes, i hope this gets more updated soon

One more sniff of that hopium:

Cars:

-Lexus LFA '10
-Jaguar XJ220 '92
-Porsche 959 '86
-McLaren P1 '13
-Bugatti EB110 '91
-Toyota GT-One (TS020) '99 #3 Livery
-Peugeot 905 B Evo '93 #3 Livery (Le Mans winner)
-Bentley Speed 8 '03 #7 Livery (Le Mans winner)
-Nissan R390 GT1 '98 #32 Livery
-Porsche 911 GT1 '98 #26 Livery (Le Mans winner)

A combo of these^.

Tracks:

-Grand Valley Speedway
-Silverstone
-Monaco

One of these^.

Events:

-Menu Book #47: Historical Race Car Championship - 5 Races - LCD Historic Race Car prize
-Menu Book #48: Prototype Championship - 10 Races - LCD Prototype car prize
-Menu Book #49: Super GT Championship - 10 Races - Super GT car prize

-Endurance Races mirroring real life well-known Endurance races (24hr Le Mans, Monza 1000km, 12hr Bathurst, etc), giving significant payouts.

-More Mission Menus.

A few of these^.

Other:

-Custom Races payouts Formula changed to give a lot more credits. To counter rubberbanding, give no credit rewards to 2nd place in a 1v1 custom race.
-AI gets additional upgrades in terms of difficulty, with the new 3 pepper choice (Human Comedy level pretty much). Custom Race AI also receive a massive AI upgrade in terms of difficulty instead of the crap 95% throttle on the straights insulting behaviour.

Probably too much to ask for one update, but if just one or two of each of these things I listed for each category, comes into GT7 in the next update, I'll be happy.

Reduce your favorite car PP
adding landscape and music
support PSVR2
adding 3 hatchback car

Oh, I can match one set of the 1987 RS500 Group A specs of 370BHP/1035kg. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/1980s-1990s-gr-a-rs500-e30-supra-specs-dtm-btcc-atcc.414219/
Where it gets frustrating, is trying to replicate other specs of 470BHP & 520 BHP. Especially, power figures from the Australian Touring Car Championship.
However, yes, I understand there’s a possibility of an Ultra Turbo and other upgrade for the Sierra 2L, but PD dropped the ball for this one.

Don’t get me started on the max power level of the CSL ‘73. ;)

pd never went crazy with lower hp cars. Even in previous games, i still dont think 422 hp is bad. The csl 73 cant get a turbo upgrade so its lower power makes sense, we still wont know every cars pontential until pd has been done adding in all special parts. We still cant get the ultra high rpm turbocharger for skyline models and supra and that part is listed in car settnings. i think many would want it for Those cars

just pre orded psvr2 got excited after hearing some good stuff about it. Dont own a wheel so that has to come later as well, i am expecting a bigger update like 7-10 cars. And a dream would be a bigger career expansion specially more championchips

Just with the CSL ‘73, we get the Group 5 widebody, but not the power to match. So, they’re trying to give players some period accuracy with various customisations. It’s just the PDLogic™ of it all.

The RS200 isn't currently here to begin with - engine swaps can only from cars curently in the game. Unless if they add the RS200, that is...

Any odds on the actual update coming before the 22nd? I have an engine ticket to re-roll by the 19th, I have no need for a 10th Silvia engine 😅

My bet is that we get silhouttes next weekend, and update proably dropping on next thursday 16th

Come on guys, PoDy literally said the update will come on 22, why are you expecting it to come one week before?
I guess 'cause it would be the first Wednesday update, whereas GT updates usually arrive on Thursdays.
