Hello GT People!

This question is regarding people who play the game with a wheel setup.

How does the car handle in the game (possibly vs Assetto Corsa if anyone has it for comparison) ?

I'm referring to whoever tested it with no aides, just like the care is in real life - this means no TC, ABS, ASM (and of course no CSA, lol), and NOT with Race tires, maximum Sports - Hard (to emulate as closely as possible the best tires available for this car IRL).

I couldn't find any videos of this care online in GT Sport tested without aides or racing tires.

Best regards!

And I dont think you are going to find in the future any time soon...
I dont have the GTS version of the car but I am sure its not close to AC (one way or another)

Well, the reason I've included AC is that I recently got that game, and to my surprise, many cars, including the F40 Ferrari (old-ish) handle suprisingly the same in both games - considering you set them up similarly with the same tires and no aides whatsoever. I managed almost identical lap times and very similar type of back end wheel slip on Monza.

The reason I got AC to compare it to GT is that there have been quite a lot of positive changes to GTS as of v1.11 - and I've got PC2.

PC2 is quite inconsistent when it comes to cars (McLaren F1 is easier to drive than the 720S, for example) - and as an avid GT3 VLN fan, I always observed that although GTS isn't prefrect at emulating the way they behave, in PC2 the GT3/GT4 cars have way too much grip and are way too "lazy" in 1st gear.

I just had a go with it on sports hard tires without ABS, it's doable lol, but racing hard tires are it's default in GTS and I think these represent it more like how that guy in real life describes it.
If asseto corsa could do PSVR I would buy it as I keep reading positive things about it.

Wow! thanks for the video, man! I just found a video of the same car, same track on AC. It's funny because when I compare your video with this one, before the last chicane, the wheels on both games lock at the exact same braking zone, and when coming out of the chicane, the same amount of counter steer is needed to keep the car straight.

When I got AC I was expecting it to be more similar to PC2, as I've heard a lot of people saying a) PC2 is very realistic, more so than GTS ; b) AC is the ultimate game for sim racing realism on PS4. To my surprise, GTS and AC do physics one way, PC2 another. While GTS is not as realistic at the end of the day as AC (mostly has to do with wheel feel), they share similar physics elements like weight shift-feeling, which is almost non existent in PC2.

hehe I wonder if that's being caused as much by the physics of the track at that point as the car itself.
I'm unable to do more than 2 laps due to the lap limit in PSVR, so I don't know if the brakes are less grabby once warmed up, or more grabby after a long fast cooling straight.
I'll put doing an ABS off lap of nurburg 24hr on my list of things to do.

If you're talking about GTS - unfortunately that's one of the key things missing from the "sim" part - no tyre or break temp modifications. There's only a heat spike for the tires whenever you do a burnout but it lasts less than 2 seconds. Basically in GTS, the moment you start to drive both breaks and tires behave as if they are constantly at the optimum temperature.

I have driven both the AC P4 and GTS versions purely for comparison. The AC version is on period tyres with no aids as per original and I totally adore it.

The GTS P4 "feels" and works pretty much like every other car in the game to me regardless of the tyres it is fitted with and comes complete with all of GTS's all encompassing characteristic foibles present and incorrect and well to the fore :D.

AC conveys the unique sound and feel that I imagine the real car of that vintage would. GTS conveys mostly GTS'ness .

Don't get me wrong, I like GTS but it is a looooooooooong way from being AC like in terms of it's actual simulation of a particular vehicle in my opinion.

I was able to get similar lap times on both versions with the F40 but the AC version always felt like death was one heavy foot away and I could take more risks with GT one.
