Think this is a great event the cars seem to be better suited for Fuji,& with the 650pp limit equals out the raw power of the F430 & 599 close racing with plenty of passing opprotunites.

I'm liking this event as well. I run the F430, but with it's current set up, the Cali's got me beat on the front straight. It does well throughout the rest of the track, but I can't hang on the straight.

The Cali gets up to top speed a lot quicker than F430. The Cali is just a little more nimble, making it tough to beat in this event.

I love this event, even though the California is quicker around Fuji i love to race either the F430 or the 512bb, the only problem is the number of cheaters taking a shortcut at the chicane :grumpy:

you guys got too check the setups on this site for this event, i can assure you that the F430 is a beast, don't have problems with Cali's cause after 2/3 laps there far behind, and yes it's a bit slower on the main straight but it makes up for it in the corners(with R1 tyres!!!!)

Regarding this event i sometimes set my car to 648pp to get a better place on the grid, any of you guys do this? or is it maybe frowned upon here?

thanks for the heads up on the event! I am missing the GTR/430/ZO6 races.

off topic-taking the PP disadvantage is frowned upon here? I can see that, auto racing isn't about setting up your car for an advantage(SARCASM).

I only see it as advantage to avoid the first corner mayhem, don't forget for the next 5 laps i am in an heavier car :scared:

if used the 512 because of the sounds. and yes i was able to win a few times too. i just love that car over the f430 and cali.

I've been using the F40 in this event, and winning a fair bit. Its a beast of a car, but it hauls down the straight, and as long as you keep the tail in check its very fast. Its great to overtake Cali and F430 drivers in the old clunker too, because I suspect that they don't drive it for the same reason that I do! I'll have to try the 599 and the 512 tonight.

Ive been drifting this event with the 599 about 624PP on S1's

Lap times are around 1'53-2'00

Whats the good average times lol

Good during race times for me anyway 1.44xx when leading a close race avg race times 1.45 to 1.46x

in a California.

I’ve overtook once a chicane cutter. while he was cutting the chicane. He must have felt so F… up.

i love the event. and i was wondering why there not much GTP-ers. i tried to make the event a bit more popular with the old threat about this event. but it didn't help much. now i see with the new opening of a threat about this event (thanks to daddyvdub), that there are more people loving this event. The only problem is that we aren’t with enough of us to get a 50% or more grid with GTP-ers. Cos were not at the same time online all the time. there are to much punters here.
Steveo tried to solve the problem with bringing back the pp to 648, but those punters are still on your tail and can punt you off in the first corner. And when they give you a good knock you end up quite far from the track. and you get frustrated and trying to get your position back. In the mean while when you are trying that, your in the middle of a bunch of punters. Bye bye race in corner 3. So what I do is let myself fall back to the back of the field and follow the last car and clip the apex nice. Most of the times you pass by 1 or 2 cars.(went off the track). Then I start racing. The field is starting to stretching out over the track and i try to battle my way to the front. Cos of the stretching out of the field you have to deal with 1 sometimes 2 punters at the time. And then they are quite easy to beat cos of the simple fact your faster than them (most of the times). Sometimes I end up on the podium with a field of 9 to 12 cars. Gives me a winning feeling. Off course I don’t do it when there are GTP-ers in the field. The only problem is, I get bored with it after a couple of races.
I run the cali on this track. I manage to do round the 6 tenth better then the F430. And I love driving the cali more then the F430. But the F430 looks much better but I don’t see the outside of the car when I’m driving so I don’r care that much (using cockpit view)

Maybe we can all come together on this event. So we can have some serious racing. Any suggestions?

California with S3's and drift is not bad.
1'47 free run
1'46 Online with a decent postion.

First time using manual and drift... yes Im a noob but a fast one ;)

I lose too much time at the exits from excess wheelspin.

I tried the Daytona event drift lol it was fun drifting the whole corner. I dont think anyone races there. (good for money? :))

There were a few GTP racers at Fuji last night, one in particular GTP_Jase72 had a frustrating night, i watched from behind as he was punted off twice while in a good position, and GTP_Wayne that F40 of his must have nitrous, i also noticed a curious situation? i am not the fastest racer but i think consistent, while racing if another racer comes behind me he will have to wait for the straight to pass me if he can but if a GTP member catches me and i can see he is considerably faster i will take a slower wider line at the next corner as not to hold him up and let him pass, sometimes the GTP member will not take this opportunity and stay behind me?

NTSC user here. We'll have to get together and get a race orginized eventually. It's been ages since I've had a good battle at Fuji.

Hows this any GTP guys who want to hook up at Fuji we can shoot for say 7.30 eastern I'll be there.

I'll give this time slot a go on NTSC. Not a great time to race on PAL.

See you there.

Great hope to see a lot of GTP guys.:sly:

Had 3 GREAT races with aerosmith323 tonight man hes good in that 599 thanks buddy.
