How to properly start GT7?

Just realised that a non stop race on intermediate tyres are impossible after 1.49 ( i think ) update that nerf the tyres one more time .
So RH tyres , High FM number, pit before rain starts and wait to dry very good the track before change to RH again while calculating the laps remaining on fuel can change accordingly the FM.
Usually Spa its a 24 laps race .

I wouldn't say that it was nerfed but instead turned more realistic. Intermediate tires usually burn faster than softs on dry tarmac. Notice how Perez went early for intermediates and gained positions, but suffered from lap 10 onwards on dry condition. RBR inverted pits, calling Max first for softs which was more than enough to obliterate the 3,5s lead that Perez had.

I agree that is more " realistic " but for all of us that used to search cars that work for lazy griding was really a nerf 😂
Especially at La Sarthe was many cars working all the way non stop on intermediate tyres but that's was good old days .

What I understood is that I need to spend a bit more time with the game before I will be ready to set up a car, change tires and refuel:-)
Try to finish the missions rainy Tsukuba, Tsukuba 1h, Least fuel longest or fastest lap and Pit in or stay out. These will teach you a lot about fuel and tires management on ever changing conditions.
