Hi there,

I would love if somebody with some good tuningskills could tune the Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71 for the Historic Cup Race as I struggle alot with the nervous tail when I accelerate or break. I already tried the Spoiler with maximum downforce but it changes not very much. I also tried to add some weight to the front but it made it even worse.

I really hope somebody could take a look what to change to make it a little bit more stable. I'm playing with a Controller and I don't care if I have to play with or without drive aids.

Thanks in advance

I think you're going to struggle to win with the Dino, even a maxed out one - especially @ Monaco, but it might be possible..

If you want to just have fun and race a Dino (against other historics) then try this..

Add all power + change oil / engine rebuild

I used sports soft tyres, which seemed a bit overkill for grip, but I think Racing Hards are available too. You could probably run this setup on slightly lower tyres too.

Suspension:

105 / 100
6.60 / 10.11
2 / 3
2 / 3
6 / 5
2.6 / 1.9
-0.05 / +0.20

Racing brakes:

5 / 5 (raise rear brake for more 'turn in' under braking, lower rear for less 'turn in')

LSD:

10
12
20

Without knowing your driving style, steering settings for pad, it's difficult to get a setup "right" first time, all setups will need a tweak here and there to suit another driver..

This is a medium setup, fairly well planted (I use a wheel) - it's easy to make it more planted (grip) or more loose if you want it..

Hey man, thanks alot, this makes it much more driveable. But I think the car is just not fast enough. 20 seconds gap between me and the two leading cars :(

Yes, the Chaparrall is in a different class really, as are most cars in that series.

It's possible to make the Dino faster (more engine/body tuning, racing hards and maybe NOS) and the setup will probably need tweaking, but I think it's flogging a dead horse using the Dino there.. Shame, it's quite a cool little car..

And it is the "suggested" car for that race from GT6 ... Dont think the two other cars in the suggestion list for iB can go fast than the Dino.

The AI is weird, they will fight you when close, but if you "break free" from them they almost back off - a bit like B spec racing in GT5 when your driver got "angry" when close to people but cooled off and went slower when no-one around..

So you need a car to not only catch and overtake them, but to get some space from them too, then it should be easy to win :D

If you get a faster car and want a tune, drop me a message at my garage, check out my other tunes, miht be of help to you elsewhere in the game 👍

Hi guys, seems like they have decided to make the old Toyota 7 the giant killer in this iteration. I managed to gold them all in the Shelby Racing Cobra (I love that car - so cool looking) but just managed to beat the 2J buy one second at apricot hill because of the long straights. Went back in the Toyota 7 (because of the increased PP's it now has) and it wiped the floor against the 2J - just stock, no aids. Have fun!:)

I have a lightly tuned (424 PP) Dino that I feel will serve you well. I only tuned the intake, suspention and exhaust.
She runs at 205 HP using sports medium. I'll post it here when I get home. I like the feel of it as it is now.
I think you can add HP/PP to the platform and still do well. I never use driving aids. Only ABS 1
If the stock gears and LSD feel good to me, I leave them alone.
