my comparation is like this:1 point for deparment.

1-acceleration= 1
2-skidpad= 1
3-braking= 1
4-slalom= 1

test # 1:acceleration.
mclaren ---------- f50

0-60------3.4 s --- 3.3 s

0-100-----7.7 s --- 8.0 s

1/4 mile---11.6 --- 12.1

top speed--231 --- n.a

test # 2:skidpad,g

------------.86 --- 1.06

test # 3:braking

from 60-0 mph,ft.

------------132 --- 136

from 80-0 mph,ft.

------------215 --- 213

test # 4:slalom

----------64.5=mph --- 65.7= mph

thats it,now tell me what car have more performance ( no just top speed) for me is clear.

hooligan thanks for the info.

Or, try these (you've got some numbers wrong in places):

http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Dunes/4435/pref.htm
http://www.mclarencars.com/content/sections/mainfr/cars.htm

Keep in mind that the McLaren competed directly in Le Mans -- as is. The only difference between road and race versions was the large amount of electronics replacing the right-hand passenger seat...and the goofy-looking rear wing. The F1 was a flat out winner until the FIA changed the regulations as to what consisted a GT-class racer (basically, new models could be flat-out race cars).

Then there's the fact that despite numerous tests and comparisons, and with so many looking to dismount the McLaren as king, there have been none that can do so, or that even claim to have done so. Bugatti, B Engineering, Lamborghini, Ferrari, even von Koenigsegg himself; none claim much more than beating the top speed. Overall road ability is still owned by McLaren.

And don't be fooled into thinking that high skidpad numbers mean much. The F50's high grip was great...until you went over that limit when it becomes quite unmanageable. The F1's 0.86g is even lower than my car, but it's the progressive nature, the adjustability and predictable handling that make it faster around the track.

o.k i can believe 0-60 in 3.2( i put 3.4)
but 0-100 ni 6.3 ? what mcclaren are you talking about ?

The same, bog-standard, custom-luggage-removed, McLaren F1. The original design. McLaren GT, GTR, LM...all have tested in that range or faster, but the F1 remains the benchmark (as it is generally considered street legal). And it's been tested many times by many different press reps, in different countries, across a decade...they all say the same thing: It's the best. Not the fastest, not the most agile, not the sleekest, but the best all-around, and nearly the best (if not the best) in all categories.

they need to make the car more proportional. most ferarri's are dogs performance wise- i am talking about the production models (but thats just my view on things)
