In my opinion, PD focuses on classic Ferraris way too much.

In my opinion there's no such thing as focusing too much on classic Ferraris.

The modern ones, on the other hand, are often oddly styled and with silly names. I mean, "LaFerrari", what kind of a name is that?

I'd take this over a modern Ferrari anyday.

No, they don't. How could anyone choose the F12 and not the 250 Testa Rossa? We already have good line up of modern Ferraris, we are mainly missing halo cars (LaFerrari, F50) and classic ones. Yeah, a 458 speciale would be nice but you can still tune your 458 to match its specs.

I like the Ferrari 250 GT California better in red LOL

I think you guys should not "fight" about which is better, the old or the new... Why not have the best of both worlds? I mean, why are here 2 or 3 guys saying that they want a specific car over the other? We had a vey nice amount of classic super/sport cars in this game already, I want more of course like the 250 LM, 250 Testa Rossa, classic mustangs, etc, but don't forget that most of these cars are very rare, so they are hard to scan and get all the details, that's why we get a few at a time. One very importante thing for me is the competition between each car of a certain type, for exemple the bugatti veyron doesn't make much sense with no direct rivals (other high performance hypercars, just like the koenigsegg, etc.), for me it's much more enjoyable if I play with a friend with similar cars (458 vs Gallardo, Evo X vs Impreza WRX) we have a lack of rivals to fight against some cars in the game, where is a recente Audi RS4 to compete against the M3 and E63? For me it's not a matter of "I want this because I like", it's more like I want a rival for some cars. Why would we need hot hatches if we don't have a nice variety of them? Focus ST vs Focus ST is monotone, but Golf GTI vs Renault Megane RS vs Focus ST vs Seat Leon Cupra R vs Audi S3 vs Mazda 3 MPS Opel Astra OPC vs Focus RS '09 vs Golf R, pretty epic isn't it? It's pointless if we have two Ferrari F1s and nothing to race against...
Hope you get my point

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a car I'd surely take looks-wise over LaFerrari. The F12 Berlinetta, while not completely beautiful, is surely a beast machine. Not the end of the world for the F12 Berlinetta to not be featured in Gran Turismo 6. GT6 will not be a terrible game just because this car isn't featured. Would I want to see this car in the game? Sure.

I think since it's such a relatively new car (I mean there are a few in the world who own one right now), it didn't make it to GT5 launch. but I have no doubt in my mind that it will come as a later DLC or patch or whatever.

I saw one while I was on vacation in Maine. Then I saw another one in Connecticut.

Yes there are some Ferrari's lacking in the game and I loooooove my horses when they prance. However I will take an F40 over a 50 if it all boils down (which we have already) and the 458 (is still my pick of the current Ferrari line up). Plus the 250 & 288 GTO's being added means I will stay satisfied if nothing else further is added from Maranello but will be stoked if we see some more (512TR & 599FXX for starters!)

PD should bring out a Ferrari DLC Pack.

Ferrari 458 Speciale
Ferrari 458 Spider
Ferrari 599 GTO
Ferrari 599XX
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
Ferrari F50 or F50 GT
Ferrari FF
Ferrari LaFerrari
Ferrari SA Aperta

Phew, there are so many recent or new Ferrari cars that are missing from GT...
Your list is missing something:

Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
Ferrari 250 California
Ferrari F355 Berlinetta
Ferrari F355 Challenge
Ferrari 360 Modena
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale

Forza Horizon got it as DLC, but MS has a console exclusive license on 360, so access to cars might work differently on that side. Saw one earlier in the year. Quite subtle compared to the FF and 599 on the road.

I understand your concern although GT6 does have the Golf R, the GTI the two STs, the Megane RS and the Audi S3 (albeit the older version) That's probably where Forza does it a bit better when it comes to teaming up like-for-like rivals. I think GT seems to be a bit random at times.

It's not really a concern, because I like some of the randomness in GT, I love when I discovered brands such as Saleen, Pagani, Cizeta, Lister, and much more, I know that we have a very nice line-up of hot hatches, but I was just using as an example, there are some types of cares that we don't have much representatives, like Hypecars, we only have really 2 or 3 as far as I can remembre (Veyron, Huayra, One-77) not counting the Enzo because is already a bit "old" if we compare to the recent cars, the Aventador is a "normal" production car (no limited numbers), and a bunch of other cars, that's why we ask for Koenigsegg and a modern Zonda (Cinque, Tricolore, ...). In the supercars there are numerous categories:
-"Baby" Supercars featuring 458, F430, Gallardo, SLS, MP4-12C,GT-R/GT-R Black Ed., Audi R8 (mostly the V10), Corvette C6/C7, Ford GT, V12 Vantage, Viper SRT10 Coupe, LFA, maybe more that I can't remembre now... (This category is very well filled)
-Baby Hardcore Supercars (track focused) - we have just a few, I just count 1, 430 Scuderia... missing the Gallardo Superleggera, SLS AMG Black Series, future 458 Speciale, R8 GT/new R8 V10 Plus, Corvette ZR1, LFA Nur. Pack.
-High Performance GT Cars - 599GTB, Aston Martin DB9/DBS/Virage/Vanquish/new Vanquish, Ferrari FF, Bentley Continental V8 GT/SuperSport, Jaguar XKR-S/XKR-S GT, Maserati GranTurismo S/MC Stradale.
-High-Range Supercars - Aventador, Murcielago (All of them except SV), F12 Berlinetta, SRT10 ACR/new SRT Viper, SLR.
-Limited Production Supercars/Early Hypercars - SLR 722, SLR Stirling Moss, 599 GTO, Enzo, Murcielago SV, Zondas (in general), MC12, One-77, Reventon, Sesto Elemento.
Not a wishlist, just mede this for some people to understand that there are multiple categories of supercars as you, car loves I presume, should know and to show how awesome this is, the variety is amazing if we think that "we have enough of this", I would love supercar races online with each person has a diferente car but still cars that are balanced, and do just like car magazines when reviewing some types of cars. This is why I love GT, I can feel each car better than any other game, I can compare and choose my favourite, which in GT5 was the awesome 458 Itália, and now with the new tire and suspension models it will be even more realistic, more feeling of the car.
