It's called locking.

It might not - many purebred sports cars shun "non-necessities" like ABS. Even if a car is equipped with ABS, it cannot prevent loss of control 100% of the time.

oh well hopefully its just cosmetic damage to that baby evrey thing mechanically should be ok (you would think)

That is hillarious!!!!!

See that person go flying off the side!!!!!

such bad understeer.

Must have had Super Slicks or some thing on!!!

after further investigation i dont believe that this is real

The person that gets hit falls off the left side then with the far away camera, falls off the right side....how is that possible.

nefyre, i know that an object goin straight will keep goin straight... the problem is
there was still minute cornering force on the car
even if you jam the brakes, the tail end should stiill slide out a tiny bit, not plow straight

and.... If the car didn't have abs, should the old man pumped the brakes? what an idiot!

Yeah, I was just wondering what the tires were doing in reaction to his turning the steering wheel.

I am with Jordan, I think something broke. Very unusal for a F50 to have that bad of a understeer at such low speeds. Of course saying something broke on fairly new (from what you can see) F50 is unusual too.

Looks like the guy that got hit was OK, lucky for him.
i don't think it was travelling at slow speeds. each shot is played slowed down. if it was travelling that slowly the cameraman would have had time to jump away. it was simply an over enthusiastic ponce who was driving too fast in the wet. his brakes were on but they were no good if his wheels were locked.

clearly the guy has never drifted in gran turismo heh

i hate it when people who can't drive are given cars like that to smash! :(

I feel sorry for the person being hit, But I also have to say that that is one hilarious clip :D

OOOOOOOOOKKKKKkkkkk..............

I noticed a few odd things.

1.) Car didn't turn even though it didn't seem like it was going that fast...
2.) In-car showed person getting hit and falling off the left of the car. No cones were hit.
3.) Out-of-car showed that person was hit and fell off right side. Some cones were hit/moved.
4.) In-car showed car landing on an angle.
5.) Out-of-car showed car landing much straighter.

:odd:

Something had broken deffinately....You look at him turning the steering wheel, yet the front wheels are still aimed straight....

Mum also noticed something when i showed her the video. The out of car shots have been reversed/mirrored. (notice the backwards writing on the blue sign?)

And notice on the in-car view that when it stops, it is lying between the two pillars, like a parallel parking job, where when it was shot from the out side, it goes in nose first:odd:
