I believe never. This one is also the first time Ferrari has ever put a front-engined V8 in a fixed-roof car.

365BB and 512BB, also 208 and 308, but that was more a regional thing. But that's going back some time :)

EDIT: Whups, the 512 replaced the 365 so that's different admittedly.

I was thinking more along the lines of completely different engines - a V8 and a V12 in this case, rather than just different displacements of the same unit.

Surprisingly, there's only a $40K price difference reported between the V8/RWD & V12/AWD. Depending on what you want out of them, some are guessing the Lusso T to be more driver-oriented & perhaps, the better deal.

👍 It's like what Bentley did when they introduced the V8 to the existing W12 in the Continental GT. Although it was cheaper and a bit down on power, it was almost as quick and the lighter engine up front gave it a better overall balance.

Yeah, @TheCracker corrected me on that earlier, my bad.

It's all good, I missed his correction and I am rubbish at editing posts, I should have put the original post in too. I was just being a nerd and trying to think of an instance of where two engines were available, and made a bit of a half-assed job of it :)
