Apparently James Glickenhaus has plans to incorporate his P4/5 into GT5 or something:

As we reported earlier, the racing version of Jim Glickenhaus's wicked Ferrari P4/5 is currently under construction and set to compete in next year's 24-hours of the Nürburgring. Glickenhaus recently emailed us this rendering and a few key details.

If you've been following our exclusive coverage, you're probably aware that Glickenhaus's car, dubbed the Competizione, will incorporate the suspension and V-8 drivetrain of an F430 GT2 ALMS racing car under bodywork like that of his one-off, Pininfarina-built Ferrari Enzo. Because he plans to make it street-legal following the Nürburgring race, it's being built on the modified structure of an F430 Scuderia.

We don't know much about the current state of the project other than the fact that it appears to be progressing as planned, and that hanging an F430 from the ceiling is the best way to place it on a calibrated surface plate for measurement. If gossip is to be believed, the FIA has classed the P4/5 in the same experimental competition grouping as Porsche's upcoming 918 Spyder (?!) and current 911 Hybrid. Also, judging by that windshield banner and a few hints dropped by Jimmy G. himself, a Gran Turismo tie-in is in the works. Cue applause.

Wow that rendering really killed the looks of the car... It looked amazing in pure red. But still, any chance of this being included in GT5 would be epic.

Just like every Porsche 911 (and every other car) that runs the Nürbrurgring 24hr race, they have to have the GT banner on the windshield, since PD is a principal sponsor of the race.

He dropped hints? What hints? I really really want the P4/5 and this version too. I think it's an amazing looking car, a combination of the best features of some of the best Ferraris ever made.

But I don't think the source is that credible. Maybe if he dropped a hint in a video interview it would be, but I think they just tried to put a bit more weight behind the Gran Turismo banner, and maybe even create a bit of extra traffic for the site. You know what these journalists are like.

EDIT: dave_sz is right, the article doesn't say anything about GT5, or even Gran Turismo at all. It seems they must have edited that part out, I don't reckon Vonie just made it up.

Last sentence.

Last sentence? That sentence isn't in the actual article.
Gran turismo and gran turismo 5 the video game are completely different things.
This threads should be closed.

That doesn't confirm whether the car will be in GT5, it just drops hints that it might be in a Gran Turismo game soon.:indiff:
It could be in GT6, for all we know.:grumpy:

It actually doesn't do that either. The person who wrote the article hinted at it simply because of the banner. We know however the banner has little to nothing to do with the game.

Well, for the record, James IS a GTPlanet member. But it's up to him if he wants to confirm this and/or reveal himself.

James has not left any hints this will be in the game. His post on FChat when asked.

The paint scheme is interesting, but sponsorship from Petronas is pretty cool. And is that a GranTurismo logo I spy?

Gran Turismo is an official sponsor of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring so that is Mandatory.

That said I remain hopefull that they may want to include us in their next game...

that looks 🤬 to be honest, I don't see why you'd want it in the game, it's not exactly a proper Ferrari is it?

Pretty sure Glickenhaus has had Ferrari's blessing with both P4/5 projects. So yes, it is a proper Ferrari.

I'd be really surprised if this one showed in GT5, but it's entirely possible that it (or his original creation) could end up there, either on release or later. The first car is certainly preferable to the Enzo it's based off.

Actually, that car looks better than the Enzo, in my opinion.
I wouldn't mind seeing it in GT5, but it's a long shot. Add it to the list of what we want to see in GT5...
Maybe GT6...

I agree with two points made here, The first being that it looks slightly better than the Enzo and the second that we're unlikely to see it in GT5,Though GT6 is a possibility or DLC perhaps.:)

James posted the photos on his Facebook page the other day, I asked him the same thing. I'd really like to see it happen.

Well we know now that they were taking those hints the wrong way...

The original article has apparently removed the whole part about GT5 too, sad day.
