I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this! I am going to attempt to make something similar..... Key word...'Attempt.'
I guess my question is more towards Blue then to you SWR, but figured I'd put it here since it reminded me by this beautiful Team Pic.
So, when we choose a particular Constructor/Engine, are we obligated in selecting the color pattern as close to the actual cars? For instance, if someone chose Mercedes/AMG, shouldn't it be whereas that teams color should be either the grey, or the silver, or even the teal/silver FGT car only? Now, (I'm thinking out loud here
) if this is the case, perhaps we should choose more then just the 'Engine Manufacturer', and have everyone not only choose say Mercedes, but Mercedes/AMG for the silver car, and someone on another team choose, not only 'Mercedes', but to pick, for instance 'Williams Martini/ Mercedes', this way they pick the White/Blue car. For my case, it's simpler because, no other team uses the Honda Engine other then McLaren, so I was under the impression I was using the Red/Black/Chrome FGT car.
Now that we're realizing, this Club/Season is going to be packed n stacked
, perhaps we should have everybody pick not only Engine, but the actual teams in Formula 1? Edit: This may not be necessary... See below lol.
My other question is. In my opinion, both drivers of Teams should have to use the same car. This may already be the case Blue, so I apologize in advance if that's already on the agenda to implement. I think, it would look more realistic. What do you think?
Oh, one other thing. I again, want to apologize to you Blue, because I'm well aware, you asked us for our input on any details/ideas we had regarding 'Engine Manufacturers' last week, and am sorry I'm bringing this up just now 💡.
As you know, been real busy with work this week, and much to our demise, I had WAYY too much free time
! To be in 4 hours of traffic, (EVERY F'ing Day from Mon-Thurs N.Y.C traffic
), and INSANE delays on the Subways, gives you A LOT to think about

I guess, if you're not completely lost already with my terrible writing on this, and you were to agree with the idea, or give it some thought, a list of FGT Cars that correspond to the actual F1 teams, would probably help Blue. Again, let's just say for instance, even if you totally think this is the worst idea, and refrained from even entertaing it, I'd completely understand and would be cool with that.
Also, I think now, with the amount of positive traction (no pun
) we've had with so many drivers signing up, maybe adding a few more 'Constructor-Eng Manufacturers might be interesting. However, I don't believe it's particularly necessary, but imo, would be very cool.
Here's a lil example:
Scuderia/Ferrari - Red
McLaren/Honda - Red-Black-Chrome
Williams/Martini Mercedes - White-Bl
RedBull Racing/Renault - Blue
Renault/Renault - Yellow
Force India/ Mercedes - Brown or Silver Black etc etc.
Or another thought I just had:
Stick with the same 4 Engine Manufacturers, but allow set colors for each Engine Manufacturer. For example:
HONDA- Red-Black-Chrome Only.
MERCEDES- Silver or Teal (AMG) or Red-Sky Blue-White (Manor), or White/Blue (Williams), or either Silver/Black or Brown/Khaki (Force India)
RENAULT- Blue (RBR) or Yellow (Renault)
FERRARI - Red (Scuderia Ferrari), or Blue (Toro Rosso), or Yellow or Blue (Sauber), or Grey (HAAS)
So, in this case, all who chose an Engine Manufacturer, would Also have certain colors, and or, a F1 Team ('
Constructor') to chose from, (excluding Honda) as well.
Honestly, all this really is, (as you already have pointed out), is novelty, and cosmetics. To me, the main thing it does is, it gives us several more varietys of colors of the cars to chose from, but will only look good on track, if teammates stick with the same color.
