At a guestimate by the start of WGTC Season 2 / mid summer. I am having to do loads of overtime at work at the moment, aswell as test for race series I'm currently in, so time is limited.

FGTA ANNOUNCEMENT

POSSIBLE NEW SERIES STARTING SUMMER 2014

FGTA DRIVER INTEREST CHECK

We have a possible new series starting this summer, it has been put to us and will be hosted hosted by @flip55 this is what he has said so far for the details:

It will be a multi class, endurance sports car championship. No Le Mans prototypes will be allowed. These will be two classes of [mostly] production based cars. I would like to launch this in the summer, which is looking like late June or early July.

I will probably run the series in the middle of the week, that works the best for me. My current touring car series is running on Thursday nights at 11:30pm EST, and with practice lounges on Tuesdays nights, also at 11:30pm.

Cars

I've spent some time testing a good amount of cars to make sure that racing within each class will be as close as possible.

Group A

I am very close to finishing this one up. Group A will consist of GTLM cars only. All cars will be brought up to 1200kg, and I am undecided on a horsepower cap. It will either be 630 or 635hp.

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 LM
HP: 689 (will be power limited)

Ford GT LM (the black one in the Gran Turismo in the dealers)

GT by Citroen Race Car

Jaguar XJ220 LM

This one is giving me a few headaches. So very much still undecided and testing.

Race Format

Aiming for 1.5 to 2 hour long races.
F1/DTM style tire rules for both classes, where a complete compound switch will be required once during the race. I plan to use RS and RM tires.

Any drivers interested should post within this thread to show their interest, I will be keeping a tally of all drivers interested in the OP in the "POSSIBLE UPCOMING SERIES" section where this post will be copied.

Yup, that pretty much sums up what I have going so far! Still a good amount of work to do, but should be fun!
