One of those willow springs races again?
Nahh, just many mistakes. Could've won otherwise.
@MatheusBond 40% distance on mediums, right? That's 48 minutes, to my calculations.
One of those willow springs races again?
Also, please remember to fill out the Race Report and make my work easier. Thank you.
Actually, @adam46, we rounded it up to 50 to make it easier on the count.
If you ran 50+ minutes you should be fine.Someone needs to change that then, because I was going by what was in the regs.
You're supposed to read the drivers brief as well mate.Someone needs to change that then, because I was going by what was in the regs.
Nice to hear that you brought my car home in second. Matching my results pretty nicely next time I'll try to make it one better.Well that was definitely an interesting race. Qualified 5th, would have been 4th but @HAMILTONR got me on his last flying lap. The start of the race was calmer than I expected, @adam46 pounced on me right at the start into the 1st and 2nd corners but other than that we streamlined the field pretty quickly up front. After all of that had settled down and I got into a rhythm I started thinking strategy, with fuel consumption and tire degradation I saw that I needed roughly 45 liters of fuel each stop, which was good because I didn't have to sit in my box solely for fuel. After the first two stints I realized that the rain was not coming so I threw the medium compounds on and ran two stints with those, and if my logic is correct, they total 50 minutes on those. I had a couple of scary moments when, on more than one occasion, @Charlie A would crash right in front of me. One instance I had to surrender the spot I was racing for to @rono_thomas to avoid hitting Charlie. Apparently, my makeshift strategy worked out and I had just enough time to run one more stint on the soft compound tires. I found myself in third place towards the end, how I really don't know, but almost all at once @MatheusBond crashed from the lead and I was gaining quickly on Hamilton due to worn tires most likely. I aggressively, but cleanly, overtook Hamilton because I knew all too well that Matheus was gaining quickly on fresh tires. Unfortunately, I didn't go fast enough and he passed me with two laps to go. (would've been one if he let off for an instant at the line) I managed to hold on to second place for the RiPRacing team, but for the second week in a row:
It was a good race and I did enjoy it. Congratulations to Matheus for the provisional win. @Charlie A and I had a good 'fite' as well. My predictions were right however, I literally drive laps around him. Nine times over. I should be open to more reserve drives throughout the season but I'm sure I wont be available every weekend. Until next time guys!
You'll get points for the 2nd place finish, I'm not sure about the standings yet.Nice to hear that you brought my car home in second. Matching my results pretty nicely next time I'll try to make it one better.
Will I get even more penalty points ön my car now btw?
You're supposed to read the drivers brief as well mate.
No worries man at least you told us!Having bad internet issues at the moment so can't make the race and my wheel is a big problem so I'm afraid I'm gonna have to pull out, if there is any change I will let you know. I can't race without being very slow and a danger to race against. If a reserve driver would like to step in I'm in a Nissan gtr. Sorry guys
Soft to medium tyre change was not allowed .more bollocksWhat a race and a return! Qualify 5th with pedal issues and gradually move up the order to 2nd place. Pitted for Mediums at my first stop and got mugged by the guys on softs. With 42min to go I pit for softs and I drop to 4th ten seconds off the lead. The cars ahead were on mediums so I caught up very quickly and passed all of them to take the lead with 30min to go. Make my last stop and drop to 2nd, 20 seconds behind Clark who tried to stay out to the end but with 10 mins to go I repassed him and pulled away to win by around 25 seconds or so.
What are you talking about? It's a rule, of course it's allowed.Soft to medium tyre change was not allowed .more bollocks
What is wrong mate?Remove me from this series please .
You clearly didn't read the rules.Soft to medium tyre change was not allowed .more bollocks
Stiggy stated as a wet race no soft to medium tyre change was allowed . Lol a complete fail . Fact .What are you talking about? It's a rule, of course it's allowed.
He said that if the water goes over 25% you don't need to change to the mediums.Stiggy stated as a wet race no soft to medium tyre change was allowed . Lol a complete fail . Fact .
Agreed mate you see what I see... Then the host giving all remember the 50min rule! ha! Thats just classic!Howcome Nobody used RM it wasnt wet race in AM
It wasn't wet in the end, fail on your part.Stiggy stated as a wet race no soft to medium tyre change was allowed . Lol a complete fail . Fact .
I'm fully aware of that incident, I apologized after the race. I was just going too fast and was already on the apex, it could've been worse if I tried to slow down there.Matheus? (Overly Aggressive! Check lap 59
very sorry I am just not cut out for this...Personally I do not think half of the AM class actually pitted for Mediums. After all I was nearly a pitstop and a half ahead then I get pissed all over, mmm right... Plus having been punted off twice may change the result of the race...eh? Matheus? (Overly Aggressive! Check lap 59 Also another great performance Warlie yet another race series ruined for me by you! 'Feeling great!' on lap 42... oh and not to mention the blocking when you have a faster car behind you you move out the way. I noticed you did this for Matheus though.... mmmmm
I will be looking into the Lap times because having just had a 30min look over them they seem to be all RS territory... Apart from a few where not only does it actually say they pitted for RMs which again I know there is a glitch, but it was reflected in their lap times...
