HI guys, i have a planning change and now i can do the race tonigth! But i have a problem, qualy sessions are not open now... Can i race with you in lobby A if we have space for me?
 
Sierra the trouble is, all the guys having a Q time pass before you, really low chance to have less of 15 drivers tonight.

I take time to gave you answer guys runnign the league probably not online soon.
 
I really don t understand why you get no points my friend....

Basically the people in Lobby A score more points than people in Lobby B; so if there is space in Lobby A and you take it it disadvantages those who did qualifying and missed out on Lobby A because they'd score less points than you even if they finish P1 in Lobby B and you finish last in Lobby A. Something like that!

Lobby B should be fun, I'm looking forward to being there as I've had no time to qualify or practice, the guys there are fast (just not aliens!) and consistent so hopefully it'll be close (if I get my act together!)

Come race there Sierra, we can try for a 1-2-3 :D

No mate. If you aren't in the Top 5 of Standings and if you don't place in the Top 9 in Pre-Qualifiers, it is impossible for you, or anyone else in a similar sitution to be able to race in Red Room.
 
OK i can understand. But, how many people in lobby a and how many people in lobby b? just to know i m

Sierra, Arty hit the nail on the head mate. There's even a few smaller other reasons as to why it doesn't work as well, but the majority of the issue is what Arty said.

You see, if we had the drivers who Pre-Qualified for the Yellow room, but race in Red Room and had every Yellow driver in that room, there's no issue, BUT, as long as you count the best Yellow drivers's, end race position, one worst then the worst placing Red driver in Red Room.

Now, going back to splitting the Yellow drivers. If we split them up and put Yellow drivers in both rooms Red and Yellow or all 3 including Blue Room per say, it turns into a disaster guys!

So say we hypothetically had 3 Yellow drivers in Red room, and 4 in Yellow Room, this would end up turning into chop suey even if you tried to do it properly and took those same measures of placing the fastest Yellow behind the slowest Red etc. etc.
Why? Those 3 Yellow drivers that ended up in Red room, would still get a lot more points relatively speaking in those last positions in Red room, then they would if they were listed in the first 3 positions in Yellow room.

The bottom line is, from what I can see, a Yellow Placing Driver should always race in Yellow, and the same could be said about every race lobby. Red, Yellow, Blue etc.

I look at it like, if we're able to squeeze in Yellow Drivers into Red, then we're doing something wrong in the first place. The chances of us squeezing in Yellow Drivers for Red Room is extremely low now anyway, as today demonstrated.

The League is growing and it will continue to. So the more drivers, the less chances of mixing colors within a room is going to be.

I guess, it's like a leading indicator of the direction of the League is heading towards. The harder that is to do, the better our league is doing :dopey:.


To answer your question Sierra, Red Room is only for 14 driver positions and there's one other spot for media, for Tad. It's 14 Drivers in Red, and Yellow and Blue Lobby both are set to run full at 16 drivers a piece.

What you may not know is, that there's a 5 point drop from one Room to the other. Here's something that will hopefully paint a better picture to what we're talking about. This is something I made to help us with how we'd manage and divide the race rooms.

I'm glad you had fun, but we were missing many people today for no apparent reason. Just one of those days, and I don't anticipate bad turn outs like this in the future so I'm positive we will have more people going forward.

Lack of serious, the rules are not followed. We cannot delayed race by 65 minutes and restart if someone joining lately like 65 minutes. Specificaly if the host said; '' We Race, No Restart '' twice. My diner tonight waiting me 45 minute on the table, i eat that cold with bitter taste lol

We are being part of the most competitive/harder series of GTPlanet/GT6, we are not casual driver running the saturday night, we are live streaming on twitch, replay of races on youtube, we cannot look disorganize.

I'm invest tons of time in practice, tuning and Desten/Potvin in management. I invite my friend to watch the race each week and people follow us on twitch, maybe someones of you dont know and have no idea but we got a fan base, guys know who we are and waiting to know if Ligthning gonna finish a race/bet on the lap he will quit, by how many time IP will win, discuss about ours strat during the race, talk with Tad, give information about the track we are running like today, Fab tell to Tadoaki what is the record of Fuji for an F1.

I'll sleep on that, me and Desten have a good talk tonight, its gonna be more strick on saturday procedure.

For me it's more than a hobby, listen to the tv it's a hobby, read a book, take a walk, flatter my cat. But spent 10 hours of my week to prepare an event of one hour I wish that the hour in question passes well. That's my vision.

The incident happened on lap 24 tho :)
I had to overlap him and he should have slowed down earlier but i think this was my fault

I checked it several times until finally checking the open lobby to find one full room. By then it was too late for me to start and complete the race as I had other commitments.
For me, a lot of practice and preparation time is required for me to have a prayer of completing a race and finishing well...that is, not last. Being one of the older guys in this championship, I have a pretty busy schedule and time is valuable. It would be extremely helpful if we could start races at a precisely predetermined time AND place. If that can't happen for whatever reason, a message or a post with some direction would be appreciated.
I'm pretty bummed I wasn't able to race with you guys, especially after my disastrous display at Cape Ring...
 
Hi guys, i just want to say that is it a real problem to not start at the pre defined time. Last season we lost good drivers due to this problem. And this season begins with the same troubles. If we want to build a serious league, all together, with many drivers from the top of the PSN, and from different country in the world, and respect people who are watching us on twitch, the first thing to respect is to start at time! yesterday, if we was waiting 5 minuts more i was going out! because i have other important things to do and we are many drivers in the same case! We started 1H30 late. My opinion is we can be patient with people who have conection issue, but not with drivers who are late.
So every driver need to be on the appropriate lobby 30 min before start, and READY to race. The lobby need to be created at time too, and with the good rules!

I m waiting to see the result of lobby yellow now. And i want to say that the people was clean in this lobby too. I have good battle specialy with arty and sstban (very clean and fair play) i really apreciate. I can post result if you want...

I ordinarily am on several hours prior race time, let alone being late, but I still apologize to everyone.

All you have to do is read post #112 in this thread on page 4 where there has been updated Pre-Qualifying since Wednesday. The top 9 in that list go to Red Room. 10-26 in Yellow and anybody else in Blue.

As has been said a trillion times already, you and everyone MUST read all the rules in the OP.

Nobody needs to be told to go anywhere, if they know the rules and are following the Pre-Qualifying standings!

Interesting that you didn't jump into a room with the other guys because we usually have guys on for several hours prior to race.

Sorry to point this out, but I think races should start at the time posted. For all the planning and work you guys put into this it's hard to understand the delays. It seems I wasn't the only one who couldn't race because of the late start. Would like to see that remedied.

Race times are always the same time buddy, but looks like you jumped the gun and showed up a little bit too early.

Interesting that you didn't jump into a room with the other guys because we usually have guys on for several hours prior to race.
Okay, I jumped the gun. Fair enough.

Like I said, I entered the club practice room shortly before 3pm. We even had a short practice race as the room filled. I left the room at around 4:15. I returned about 20min later to find no open club rooms. It didn't occur to me to check the open forum until it was too late.

Two guestions:
1) In the interest of clarity, what time (and place) does the Saturday race start EST?
2) Why then are so many drivers complaining about starting much later than expected?

Hey guys, new to the league this year. Not surprising I imagine to anyone who saw me run around like a headless chicken gunning for that 17 but alas, it was not meant to be.

As for the times, I don't know how much weight I will have in saying this but from a new comers perspective yesterday was quite a bit unorganized.

A special nod to the gentlemen driver with whom I had an incident at first corner, this was resolved amicably and with all due respect, nothing short of what I expect from this league, you know who you are.

Quite frankly last night was a tad bit....disappointing. Not for the sake of organization itself, I'm an amateur, our rooms work in VERY much the same way, but bc I can see how much effort you all put into this league.

As Maxx said this is clearly not a hobby for many of you, the work put into the rooms, the schedules, rules, logistics and even tunes is mind boggling and you all deserve much respect for that so here's to you! That is why it was a bummer, bc it becomes clear this can and has run a heck of a lot smoother.

It is a pleasure running with you guys, quite proud of having made Redroom considering the scope of the competition. I thank all of you who helped me find my way around this past week, honorable mention to my mentor and Tune Junkie.

We went back to the post and made the adjustments.

Mister, if you go to the first page on this thread, there on the very first posts you will see the OP. The Original Post for this league, in which has all the answers to your questions buddy.
For instance, if you wanted to know what times the races began you would click the spoiler boxes. Under General Information you will find roughly 6 or 7 of these spoiler boxes. Under General Information you can find sections for How to Sign Up, Pre-Qualifying Rules, Day of Race Time Schedule, Day of Race Rules, Day of Race Rules, Day of Race Time Schedule, and Race Rules.

To answer your other question on why there are so many drivers asking for race times if it's already in the OP?
Beats me, as they know this, but yet expect me to answer there messages flooded with redundant questions as to where they're supposed to be amd when, 20 minutes before race time.

In fact, it's clearly stated that every driver NEEDS to read the OP, and it is also clearly stated in the OP, that no messages will be used just prior to race till the end of race :banghead: :lol:.

Yes, I did read every single word to your post Party.

It's funny that you say I'm the one who's running you down, but in fact, I bit my lip last week and didn't say a thing about it. Forasmuch, as I wanted to curse and berate you for clearly neglecting instructions from at least 3 League Officers, and forasmuch as I was punching myself for your exchange of posts during the week on the very same topic in which you had clearly left out vital information to defend your cause. I STILL did not say a thing.

So now you're saying that I'M the one running YOU down, right after you post things that insults me and the managers of the league with rude statements of enough is enough, and that you think it should be like this, or that, when the rules are clear.

We've only had 2 races this season so far. For race 1, both rooms were on time, and if anything, they were ready to start somewhat earlier then race time. However, you wouldn't listen to me, IP and Desten and decided to race in a room that wouldn't be feasible for us to tally points for you. Hence being the sole reason for both rooms to start late with Yellow room starting 45 minutes late in itself. In case you forgot, after waiting for you for 30 minutes, I and Desten had to leave our own room to fetch you, to only enter back into our own room and 10 minutes later, you STILL hadn't shown up. We finally started the race, and naturally you show up on lap 2 of the Qualifier. Without hesitation, I asked everybody to restart for you, to have it all go to waste, because you decided to go back to the Red Room and race 4 laps into the race man.

So if anything, I've been nice to you this week. Perhaps, overly too nice.

This is not your ordinary conventional league. As of now we have close to 40 members and the goal is to have close to 60 in order to have 3 full rooms participating in the races. Surely, you can't think I can respond to yours, and anybody elses messages right before race time to tell them where to go for every race, especially when it hopefully keeps growing?

Mate, this is why the rules and the wonderful wonders of modern technology come into play :lol:.

We have this AMAZING website that has so many tools for us to utilize :gtpflag:. Dont you think it's time for you to take advantage of it?

Oh and by the way, I never got any apology from you but that's okay, because I still love ya :sly:
