FH3 Update Glitch Reveals New Cars: Porsches, DB11, ATS-V & More

I wonder why they chose to put the Dart. Didn't they end up being, well, awful?

Maybe they'll put my car, the Yaris/Vitz, in next!

They're not necessarily awful cars, just not very fun. They've got solid power but are much too heavy. Look nice though, and the value for money is solid. I just wouldn't put one in a racing game. Still, it's nice to know I could pretend to drive around Australia in the car I have in real life!

What I'd really like to do is transform it into the SRT variant FCA never made. Make it AWD, drop some of that bulk and give the 2.4 a turbo. That would be great.

I get that. I have a fondness for underdogs.
It's not for that reason, but more of sometimes wanting to drive a regular car in a racing game. There's something fun about sometimes taking a normal car and driving it fast on the road. I go back to play FM4 often to drive the Ford Fusion Sport or 2008 Subaru Legacy GT.

Government-mandated cars never turn out well. Remember that building the Dart was a condition of the Obama administration accepting Fiat's buyout offer.

They did try though, honestly. It had the Giulietta's underpinnings, and there are far, far worse cars. And don't forget, it replaced this:

Interesting that there's still complaints that more Australian cars need to be added. The base game has more Aussie models than any other game title in history (outside of games dedicated to the V8 series), and all but one of the DLC packs so far have increased that count.

It's like the S14 all over again.

Australians don't even drive Australian cars anymore... Per @05XR8 's post in the V8 Supercars thread in the motorsports forum, these are the 5 best selling cars in 2016 in Australia.

Top five selling cars in 2016:

Toyota HiLux: 42,104

Toyota Corolla: 40,330

Hyundai i30: 37,772

Ford Ranger: 36,934

Mazda3: 36,107

Source: FCAI

Saying it needs more Aussie cars because the game is set there hardly means anything. FH2 was set in France and Italy and we didn't get more French cars because of that.

Complaints about the series not fulfilling the needs of specific car types will never stop. You give an inch, they go a mile sorta thing.

People always just want more content. On Youtube, FB, and even Reddit (on the odd occasion) there's very little appreciation of what we have and more screaming about the next big car that the game doesn't have. The 675LT, 6x6 AMG & Chiron have really taken up that mantle from the S14 and who knows what it'll be next? All I know is the complaints for X car won't ever stop.

who doesnt like aussie cars?????? i meen i like all cars!.... but being able to drive them in a game had been just a dream before T10. Same feeling as the US guys first time in game with a Mustang or a Japanese dude driving a S14...... i grew up with these cars and now they get their turn is totally sik!!!!!! Stop the winging and embrace the variety....even the Dodge Dart gt needs love......

To be fair, the game had a fairly large collection of French models. (And Italian, don't forget it was also in Italy)

My main problem with people complaining about cars missing is usually the cars they complain about... No offense, but no one, absolutely no one wants to drive a Holden Gemini. Look at it, it's like a 3rd rate generic GTA model, I almost fell asleep looking for a picture.

It's a bit like begging for a Camry to be added... no one actually cares, and there are far more interesting choices to be considered, Australian made or not. Why should they go out of their way to include things like this or the awful Leyland P76 because they're made in Australia instead of going for, I don't know and I'm just making this up, a Rolls-Royce Phantom or an Opel Calibra?

I'd agree with the above statement. Add stuff that's actually significant to Australia and/or interesting. It doesn't even need to be Australian made cars in my opinion, it can be cars that are just relevant to Aussie car culture. Things like the Mazda Familia GT-X (maybe its Ford derivative, the Laser TX3 Turbo) or even the Suzuki Mighty Boy.

Adding plain jane Australian built cars just lopsides the car list with bias, and soon you'd have fans of European, Japanese and American cars complaining they don't have enough everyday cars / 'classics' in the game. Forza 4 had a few infamous US cars (AMC Pacer, Ford Pinto, Chevy Corvair, etc.) peppered through the later DLC packs, but it wasn't a huge chunk and it made a little more sense given the fact T10 are an American company.

Honestly I think Australian cars should come first before other cars in car packs since this game is based here or at least make half of the car packs Aussie cars in future car packs.
I was wondering if the Bowden's lock up had an "special" models T10 were going to scan. http://www.bowdensown.com.au/why-we-make-car-care-our-collection
Yes, some are in as normal road cars, but I thought T10 were handing us these race versions.

 Gold.

I'm satisfied with the Falcon count. Utes, Holdens, Charger coming now or later. Supercars. They done good.

Number of French cars in FH2: Eight. Huge!

You bring up a few good points (first of which is that a re-read of the Acceptable Use Policy is apparently needed).

I too like (almost) all cars. That's why you don't find me whining about more cars being added from a single country. "Embrace the variety" is good advice that will probably — possibly ironically — fall on deaf ears.

Is it wrong that I really don't even care that these cars are in FH3, I'm just excited and hoping they will be in FM7?

That's actually one of my first thoughts when I see any new cars, too.

It's not a slight on FH3 — it really still is one of the best arcade racers I've played, ever — but FM6 is just more my bag. The idea of a Scorpio-powered, 600+ car experience in FM7 is going to make the wait until autumn a long one...

I wouldn't call the amount of French cars in FH2 large to be honest, it's honestly very underwhelming imo.

As for the comment above about the Scorpio, I really don't want to buy another console so soon. I'm probably going to skip FM7. Darn it, I thought Microsoft was going to wait a while before releasing another console.

I was very against it when I first heard of it. Unfortunately, I think both Sony and Microsoft put themselves in this position after the relatively low-power original XB1 and PS4 launched. It then became a bit of a cold war: even if the Xbox has lost the sales war to the PS4, Microsoft has to commit to a more powerful half-step if Sony is doing the same. Sony rushed its version to market, which could be a benefit for Scorpio.

The hardest thing in my mind is trying to determine when the best time will be to unload my current one, to ensure I get a decent amount of money for it (but not too early, since I want to actually use it still).

My PS4, however, has no real reason to be upgraded yet.

Whilst the list of leaked cars is impressive. I have this funny feeling some (917, F50 GT, Penske Lola T70 etc.) are more likely to appear in FM7 than in FH3.

I'm not going to skip it unless it's a Scorpio exclusive, which I would bet a lot of money it's not going to be. Turn Ten is trying to boost their sales, not decrease them.(which a Scorpio exclusive would most certainly do). I venture to say that there's not going to be any difference featurewise besides graphics and frame rate.

As far as Scorpio, I'm still on the fence on it. It's kind of dependent on my TV situation, if it's still going strong. I'm also thinking of selling my XB1 1TB if I do get one, but it's such a fine line of it being worth something and worth hardly anything when it comes to getting rid of it. I'm not going to sell it before I can bring a Scorpio home the same day, and it might not be worth anything then.

Forza 6 was the main reason I initially bought the XBONE. Then, PCars was a bonus. Now I'm torn because I can get a PS4 Pro with GTS & PC or F7 & PC. I don't feel like doing the two system thing again.

That's just not true. The government did not mandate any specific cars or models or anything like that. "the U.S. government’s plan transferred a majority of Chrysler’s reorganized stock over to Fiat and unsecured creditors for no consideration other than a promise to build more fuel-efficient vehicles in the U.S. over time."

Chrysler needed to replace the Avenger and the Caliber which were both very old designs. The compact/midsize sedan category is hugely important and profitable. Just ask Toyota with the Camry and Honda with the Accord. They cobbled together something using the Giuletta's underpinnings and got the Dart and Chrysler 200, but neither were as good as they should have been. Instead of getting a better replacement ready, they abandoned the segment.
