@buddie racers, I highly encourage you to read, understand and learn the point 01;J from the GTP OLR. Cause when I see your laps 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33, I think there's something you don't understand about this rule or you are maybe just simply not aware it exists.

I had caught you when you DC'd and would have taken 5th within the next lap. Bad timing to implement that 90% rule on someone. I had better tires and would have taken 5th.

So if Bob DC's in 3rd, you're saying that he should get 3rd place points, and the guy that actually finished 3 with out a DC, should also get 3rd place points? Or 4th place points? Either way, I agree with @racefan88. You can't give points to someone who didn't finish, unless they were last place points, and they covered a pre-set classifiable race distance.

I personally feel that if a person DC's with 90% of the race complete, that person gets classified as last and receives last place points. Just my 2 cents, you do what you feel is right, it's your series.
I would call it the "mechanical failure" rule amd judge it as the name implies. Basically to say if you dc it is the equivalent to a mechanical failure, so if the person was close enough to the line to coast across, finish the race, and still hold their position then they can keep it if not then last place points or nothing that can be up to you?

FGTA rules would say that you retired at the start of lap 32, if that was the final lap and the leader crossed the line at the end of that lap, anyone that was on the lead lap would pass and you would place ahead of the 1st lapped car (as they also only completed 31 laps, but in a slower time).

i wouldnt think so. lets say, there were 10 cars in the race, the first person to DC would get 10th place points, and if there is another car to DC, he would get 9th place points and so on.

If you DC before the classifiable race distance, you would get 0. If you DC after the classifiable race distance you would be added on to the end and get last place points. But since there was no classifiable race distance posted before the race, I would add DC'ers onto the end and give them last place, 2nd to last, etc. Also, this:
