FIA GT World Championship [S2] | Aboe and SK8RBOI Are Champions!Finished

Got a very solid first race! Got the most amazing Q I could have done doing an insane time, getting me second, and not to brag but even outdid @Michouw :D. Of course the race started had a solid first few laps of course Michouw got me but was hanging on to him and racingline. Until one mistake happened barely clipped the wall front left damage, just stayed safe from there trying to keep Litchi from taking me. When he got right behind me he went in the pits, I did the same the next lap with 40 minutes left, did a very good stint but I hadn't put enough fuel in so I had to go in the pits for a second time with about 20 minutes remaining. With that I dropped down to 6th, but I hadn't given up there. I was doing very fast laps and I was aiming to pass Gabguss, aboe, and smsdry. Although I was far behind I was on fresh RM and didnt have to worry about fuel or pits, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) Gabguss went in the pits. Got 5th and then had got really close to aboe which surprised e given how far back I was when I exited pits. Got passed him and smsdry was just ahead. We were battling for a bit and all I can say is damn that thing flies on the straight. We got into a bt of a mess in last two corners, causing us both to go wide on last corner and I believe we both got damage. After that there was about 6 minutes remaining and I wasn't nearly close enough in 3rd to get the first two. Unlucky for racingline however as he DC'd at the very end. I was in 2nd then with about two laps left and pulled a large lead over the rest behind me. Clean racing to the end and a very unexpected podium for me! 2nd place!

No, Joe. I wasn't running 1.28s with hards. The thing is, I was the pole, but sent to the grass on turn 1. Then I said "damage!", expecting the restart, but some seconds later remembered this would only happen if it eas on the formation lap. Then went to the pits and put mediums, expecting to do a recovering race. But on lap 14 I crashed with the black Ford. Not sure it was my fault. If it was, sorry! Well, all in all it was fun.

Ok. time for my AM race report.

The Qualifying for AM started on schedule and went fine except that @joetruckv8 did not know the qualifying had started. Once the Formation lap began, it started out smoothly but then we noticed that Joetruck did not move off of his starting position, We attempted to slow down so that Joe could reach the feild but he instead left the race. The formation lap ended up being kinda sloppy and that was partly my fault, I maybe should've called for a second pace lap but I didn't think I had enough time to. Once the race started the two Audi drivers collided into each other, giving the lead to my teammate, I battled against @SSJGZWarrior for many laps. By the time I had pitted on lap 20 I had come out in 4th place. My teammate; @Shahar had a messy pit stop and allowed me to take 2nd. After 1st place had pitted I had held the lead for the rest of the race, however there was a big problem; I had no fuel left. For the last 4 laps I had to go slower than usual and allowed Shahar to get within half a second of me. At the end of the race I had finish with just a liter of fuel remaining and my teammate half a second behind.

Pro's of this pre-season

  • Great/equal competition
  • Fun strategy testing
Cons
  • Drivers need to add the host
  • Stay alert when Qualifying and race starts
  • Improving formation lap

Then the qualification: 1 lap => lot of errors and not push too hard for a time
2 lap => damage finish qualifying

Race : Quiet start following @RacingLine , then after 27 minutes I go too far but stop cancel, I stopped just after and puts Racing medium until the end.

Good Race for Team Marc VDS Racing, although Racing had a deco :(

Good to hear then,. 👍 I figured with those lap times that fast you would of made a lot of ground up from your current grid position. So in that case Skater seems to be the fast guy on track at the moment, his time was hit on racing meds atleast. Everyone else was fairly close to one another lap time wise. I think overall for me I would of bested a low 1.29.xxx with a toe around this place going into Remes. The Audi hit over 150mph going into Remes so I'm going to set my dDF up to where I hit that mph in the Dodge Viper and use that as my low DF standard (Monza will be the low df, hi mph exposure track, I'm not missing that 1) Also I'm going to do some passes in the SLS AMG too because that car naturally has a hi mph # too, as well as the Viper. The way my Viper was setup DF 40,44/65 I was hitting 147mph going into Remes.
Anyways enough rambling for me,... FIA GT Series

Brands Hatch:
PB 1:28.423 (hards - 8 laps)
AM Target 1:27.0xx (hards)
PRO Target 1:23.xxx

Bakemister I think left the race and lobby correct?

I was a lonely vette out there lol. I know I could have kept up with you Brutaka we were running the same lap times but my driving got sloppy when I was trying too hard to get around you which messed me up badly. But it was so much fun racing against with you I was excited the whole time just wished I didn't dc though -_-

Yeah really good race, You put me under pressure for like 20-25 minutes straight, was glad when you pitted :P

The BMW doesn't have a acceleration advantage, it's just good in corners :P
if they can go faster into the corners and handle well then they can power out of the corner faster. It's not that they have good accel. they can keep their momentum through out the corner

I'm sorta bummed with my performance as I rear-ended @Leoni Dias going into Turn 1 on the opening lap and thought I should pit ASAP to fix any damage to the car. Originally, I was going to do a 1 stopper starting on RH and then go to RM after about 25 minutes. After the accident, I decided to flip the strategy around and go 30 minutes or so on RM's. Also had the gearing set up to max out going into Rausch curve since it was on the end of a downhill straight and I feared I would be slower going uphill into Remus with a lower Final gear. It looks like that was a factor to my setting slower times in Qualifying and the race.

Also, I hope I was not making things dangerous for the cars lapping me during the second half of the race. :nervous:
