FIA GT World Championship [S2] | Aboe and SK8RBOI Are Champions!Finished

Sorry I had to quit due to technical issues.
My G27 always turn to the left.
Same problem within Qualifs (low angle at beginning but 90degrees at the end )

Any solution?
I'll try to turn on the PlayStation again I hope it's just because of a wrong init

Edit : Same problem with an other car
I'll take my old wheel

Thought I was racing in PRO division.

How does one start a major pile-up on a straight ?

First my real race got wrecked and now my sprint race 🤬

Congrats to aboe and whoever won the sprint race.

Worst race weekend I have ever had. We will take into consideration having hatch as first race of season. Please fill in race report...:/

Well. I had fun. Sorry for the spun at warm up lap (amateur mistake) but as I said Jethro was waving and spinning wheels so I was trying to stay far :).

I was wondering about strategies- did you guys pit for RM at 30 min? I was really catching nr 3,4,5 at the last 15 min.

Sprint race- the crash is partly my fault as I saw Litchi going in the grass and spining on the racing line in front of me so I did brake (not very good solution indeed) and Mitchouw went into me (not his fault) and so on. Otherwise quite clean racing and defending. @infodevil, great fun, nobody gave up :)
Looking forward to a much wider and easier track to avoid collision :)
Night

Quali: 3rd
Feature race: 1st
Sprint race: 2nd

Decent quali position - 3rd - but poor quali pace. Actually - everyone besides Michouw seemed to struggle to get anywhere near their best times...
Managed to keep it clean for most of the race - a few offs on the odd occasion, but all were saveable and didn't cost me too much time

I must say - that's probably one of the very few occasions on GT6 when I've won a race and not really felt like a winner. My driving was reasonably consistent, but hella slow. I dipped into the 21's on the mediums on only a few occasions but in practise my PBs on heavy fuel were in the low 21's consistently.

I'm sorry that so many people had terrible races as well. Hopefully I didn't contribute to any of the on-track carnage which ensued, although I do remember accidentally cutting a few corners here and there, but hopefully it won't be bad news for me when the stewards look into it.

The race itself was a quiet one really. I benefited from Litchi having an uncharacteristically bad quali run to snatch 3rd and it looked like being in 4th meant he got tangled up on lap 1, after we had to do a second formation lap due to some incidents during the first.
So, while Michouw and Racingline eased away into the sunset, I was left all alone in third for the first half. The fact that CodDemon also went off when behind me meant that it was simply a case of keeping the car on track as my pace was decent enough at least to pull away from the midfield pack.
Then it came to the pit 'window' and I decided to stay out longer than most on my hards. And at one point I even considered going the full distance as I saw that I might just have had enough fuel to make it to the end without needing to refuel. But I played it safe, relinquished the lead back to an unusually slow Michouw, who I then went on to catch and pass toward the end of the race to take the victory.

My race was reasonably incident free, but guys - some of you were really bad when it came to the Blue Flags. Please, there's really no excuse for trying to battle with the people who are coming up to lap you. It didn't just happen to me either - I saw in my mirrors that it was happening to others as well... All you need to do is lift off the throttle for about a second when on a straight so that a safe pass can be made. And if you're excuse is that "I didn't know you were lapping me" then simply take a look to the right of the screen where you'll find the driver list - if the car behind isn't also behind you on the driver list then it probably means one of two things: you're being lapped; or you've just lapped someone.
A bit more consideration from now on, please

Anyway, happy to get two strong results on my debut, stewards decisions pending of course. Only thing is though, things can't really get much better than that so it may be all downhill from here on out :dunce:

WD to crelou as well, who had a strong 1st race result to mean we get a good team points haul in our first race, provisionally. Go Team SRT!

In race two - grats to Gabguss. I tried and tried to pass you but the R8 has such good straight line speed that even when I did manage to sneak past on those few odd occasions, you would just power back to level with me before the next corner and regain the lead. I'm sorry for those taps I gave you here n there, honest mistakes, nothing intentional.

See you all for some practise at Monza

Steward Label

Because of his very good sportsmanship, because of his very mature behavior and because he knows all the rules almost by heart,
we decided to promote Michael as a Steward. We are sure he's a great addition and will act fairly in all situations.

He will help us making decisions and will brings new ideas for season 3, hopefully.

Also, please keep in mind that the Staff is not above the law.
We follow and respect same rules as you. We just have advantage on decisions about any incident.
Of course, if a Staff member is involved in an incident, he will be out of the discussion to avoid any favoritism.

The Staff

Ok so, I'll skip my personal race reports cause I was pretty frustrated of my f:censored: HDMI cable. I had black screen 3 turns after the start and at this point, my race was just....ruined .

Well, before you guys fill the Incident Report Form (available in the OP), I have some things to say:

- Some guys have not read the rules yet, that's an evidence... We won't waste our time with these guys next time. I will have no mercy calling for a 1 Round suspension for these guys. You want to race here? Read our rules before!

The rules says: "No weaving in purpose to warm the tires". We have not implemented this rule just for fun, we know what we do... From experience, we know that there are damages in formation lap 90% of the time when weaving is allowed. So, we don't allow it.
The excuse "I did it because of habit" is NOT valid. It's better to say nothing in this case... Case closed.

The rules says: "Chat is strictly prohibited during the races". There is absolutely NO reason to use it once the green flag is called. We don't care you had a bug in pits, we don't care mister X rammed you off track, We don't care my HDMI cable sucks, ok? Case closed.

The rules says: "Only ONE 2nd formation lap can be called in case of damages in the 1st formation lap." I called 1 because of damages, so there's is definitely no reason to use the chat again in the 2nd formation lap saying "damage" because we won't do a 3rd formation lap. If you're damaged in 2nd formation lap, we're sorry but it's your entire responsibility to pit yourself after the green flag. Case closed.

EDIT: And I just re-read my post and I tell you, guys: I'm cool if you're cool too, I can be your best friend, for sure. But on the other side, if you don't follow/respect what the organizers say, I can be your Demon for all your life. To keep guys on the good way, respecting the law/rules is my work in real life, just to say. :P

Nissan NISMO GTR GT3 GT Academy Team RJN

Quali: 12th
Feature race: 10th
Sprint race: 12th

Wasn't sure whether I would race at all until the last few hours, so was glad I could attend. However this meant that I didn't have much time to practice, and it showed :(

Quali was pretty much as expected - the handling of the car was good, however due to the weight disadvantage, the car just was too sluggish coming out of the corners, and that meant a relatively low grid position.

First race was pretty clean, but as the car was a little off pace I didn't have much chance of catching the guys in front. Didn't help also that I made a mistake in my first pitstop and put hards on, so had to pit again for mediums. Good (but short) battle with Litchi was all I remembered as he came back through the field.

Second race I screwed up the start, and got a tap somewhere that made be slide off track at Paddock Hill. Then it was damage limitation, having to limp to the pits for repairs. Crelou then gave a good battle for a few laps, was side-by-side through turns 5-6-7. Will see if there are some good photos later tomorrow :).

Pretty eventful first ever races in WGTC, the driving skills of you guys are something else. Lots to learn!

p.s. how was my driving when being lapped? I wasn't too sure at what distance to start lifting off, sorry if I was holding anyone up!

From my point of view, it was fine. Thanks for yielding when you did, you did it nice and safely 👍

Yeah Brands Hatch, Monza and Mazda are not the tracks you want to race for 1st and 2nd round. Fuji is probably one of the best ones to do as rd 1. Indy is another 1 it's not bad either. You need wide, huge tracks. Silverstone probably even would've worked as the 1st rd. Anyways 1st race no matter the series it's always a cluster 🤬, and the 2nd round usually is the same (pay-back rd). Either 3rd or 4th rd I believe things should clean up between drivers because at that point drivers know their place on grids at this point and their chassis. The 1st race nobody knows who's fast and who slow so drivers fight like there's no more laps after the 1st lap. That happen in the past will happen now and will always happen in the future too, trust! 👍

Anyways I went from last place after botching my qualifying session to a podium. Second race I was in the lead, but spun due to damage collected, but still finished in second place. Overall good race for me at least. I have other comments but I will post them after I watch replay and let everyone's emotions died down a bit. I don't have any complaints or negative comments like some other drivers might have at this miment, but I do have some helpful tips for heavy damage racing.

Okay that's long enough for now. See you guys tomorrow! :sly:👍
